Big but old tvs n weak internet
Rebecca Son 08/05/2017 01:38The apartments are very large nice bed. You have a full bathroom and walk-in closet. You have a small kitchen Galley Style but it does have an open bar. There is a small dining room and a balcony. There is also a small living room with couch and chair. The place is clean. However the TV in the bedroom in the TV in the living room are both very old and sometimes that reception is bad. Also the Wi-Fi connection is on and off and very weak in the afternoon or evening.
Another great experience at Charwood Suites
INDrickon 01/03/2017 19:34Charwood Suites(used more so by visiting business people on short term employment) provides overnight or long term options for those that want furnished apartment style living cheaper than most common hotel rooms. You get a one, two, or three bedroom apartment with one bathroom, fully furnished kitchen(stove/oven, full size fridge, microwave, and breakfast bar), living room, and dining room(table and 4 chairs). They have a beautiful indoor pool in a separate building that is rarely used, but well kept, an adjoining exercise room, and the property area is large enough to get in a short walk. It is located just behind Menards and Walmart on Highway 46West just outside of the city of Columbus. I have used this place for many years now and the rooms are constantly renovated to keep them in tip top condition. The staff is on site during daytime hours up until 5PM, but late checkin is available through the Comfort Inn close by. Trust me in trying this place. I have used a few of the neighboring hotels and they can't compare to the size of rooms you get for a cheaper price. It is definitely a better option for those that want a bit more privacy especially for a family of four, five, or more or the person that just likes a wider space of comfort. I might add that you do not hear ANY noise during nighttime hours for those that are light sleepers and I have seen some people there with pets. You won't be disappointed! If you have a larger family, call for reservation well in advance as they are used by the top companies in the area for short term executives and business people. They do rent rooms by the day, week, and month. My corporate rate was 84/night for one bedroom and 100/night for two bedroom.
Weekend Stay
Elizabeth Gon 09/10/2016 12:58Sits back off the main road so it is very quiet. Rooms are spacious and very clean. We had a 1-bedroom unit with kitchen/dining area, living area and private patio. Only negative about this place is that there is no blow dryer in the bathroom. Definately will stay here again as it's a nice place and great value.
Still the most bang for your buck!
INDrickon 27/08/2016 19:45Needing a room for an unexpected visit due to a funeral I called Charwood. They hooked me up with what they called a standard room and the only difference between it and the executive room I normally get was having no patio. The room was just as large and it was equipped the same. At 80 dollars a night(corporate rate), you get a one bedroom apartment. It was a plus this time to have a washer/dryer combo in a small closet next to the bathroom. They told me that there will be some upgrades in remodeling coming to many of the rooms this fall even though I find that their conditions there are supreme compared to many of the Hilton and Marriot competitors. Thanks again Charwood for another quality stay!
Nice transition
Brenda Ron 08/07/2016 20:13My husband and I recently and rapidly sold our home subjecting us to five weeks of unanticipated homelessness which began when our buyers took possession and ended with closure on our new residence. A friend of similar circumstances recommended Charwood Suites as a temporary housing alternative. With no other viable options we quickly instituted this one. Although we were unable to personally select the unit due to the immediacy of our need, the three apartments we inhabited at various intervals were clean and well maintained. I mention three as our first unit suffered air conditioning issues which proved fatal, an unfortunate event with temperatures reaching an unprecedented high this summer. The office staff, particularly Megan, were extremely understanding and accommodating allowing us to occupy secondary, climate controlled units during the length of our stay. Megan also compensated us financially for the inconveniences incurred, a much appreciated offset to our rather unfortunate circumstances. I can also attest to the prompt and professional attention we always received from every employees with whom we had contact. Day to day concerns were immediately addressed and reconciled with only a phone call or brief visit to the front office. While our situation was clearly not ideal, Charwood and their outstanding team exceeded our expectations. I would certainly recommend their suites to anyone requiring interim housing.
