Amazing French Castle

For the past years, I've made it a point to visit france as much as I could. For reasons I cannot explain, I've limited myself to Paris and the north. Little did I know that there is just so much more for us to see. This chateau is a jewel in the Auvergne region. A part of France that is unfortunately underrated. Chateau de Busset is enchanting while at the same time, very much like home (only much much MUCH bigger). That is what I feel is the most special attribute of Chateau de Busset. A great place to stay indeed and highly recommended.

Magical Castle in Loire Valley

This is an incredible place. We felt like we were stepping back into time -- and treated like royalty -- while still having modern amenities of working toilets, electricity and WIFI. Gorgeous rooms, lovely well-maintained gardens, incredible room, wonderful staff. Perfection for those who like history.

Feel French History

If you want to enjoy a genuine historical ambiance and care less about modern conveniences this is your place. If on the other hand you expect the state of the art in your room and facilities you are most likely to be disappointed. you might have to put up with a lot of inconvenience which was alluded to in other reviews! if you choose this one, be prepared, a lot of gain for some pain!

Amazing French Castle Experience

I have stayed and dined with my family (wife and two teenagers) and two friends at this wonderful castle of the Royal Bourbon Family. We liked it a lot. The French parc and the outdoor pool are amazing.
Do not expect nowadays luxury and perfection, but do expect an experience in a historic French castle with some important weaknesses and inadequacies. We all enjoyed a very good French dining experience. To be recommended!

its a place of repose and authentic private experience of the beauty of mansion, of large gardens and of the park built in 13- 15 -17centuries. The building is magnificent, the food and the chef is of the quality. There are no annoying services and commercialism where everything is manicured to the last details and which may put off some clients... this is a place of quietude and beautiful views over the valley in the proximity of Vichy with the famous thermal waters.
