Beauty out in the countryside!
john oon 25/05/2017 19:30This is a rare find, a beautiful hotel away from a small French town, in the farming community. We stayed in the gate house which was perfect, only we wished we were there more than one night. The grounds are immaculate, rolling hills, horses and livestock over the fence, just beautiful!
The restaurant serves incredible meals, and wonderful wine! It was not inexpensive, and the gatehouse was perfect: very old on the outside, and ultra modern inside. Breakfast was elegant and delicious. Can't say enough about this stop! It appears to be a welcoming place for business meetings, as well.
History transformed in hotel
RalM_1979on 11/02/2017 20:08The "chateau" is the word for palace in French and it was the residence of someone at a certain time. The transformation into a hotel it was really nice done with attention to details. The room is spacious and it is combining the wood floor with the modernist furnishings of the room and bathroom. Breakfast was really basic but the dinner was a real act of "French art cuisine".
Definitely I will return in a summer time to enjoy also the pool and the beautiful garden surrounding the "chateau"
Amazing
fpetrason 19/02/2016 10:06I was in a business trip for 3 days and i stayed at Chateau de la Barbiniere. It was awesome and same time relaxing. The view is beautiful, there is a small lake so you can have a small walk around. Rooms are placed in more buildings, they are spacious, good heated, beds and pillows really comfortable.
Free wi-fi, place for park the car and for the staff only good words.
Breakfast is ok and the food from restaurant is delicious they have very good wines.
I hope i come back during the summer to enjoy the pool.
Very relaxing
Zach630on 11/10/2014 03:57We stayed here 2 nights while on business. Breakfast was great, the room was awesome (creaky floors add character), the bathroom was recently remodeled. I wish I had more time at this hotel, the grounds are beautiful. The restaurant was a nice place to eat and relax. Truly a place to visit. Only downsides were slight highway noise at night, but it helped a city boy like me sleep. Lovely place, I plan on bringing my wife there some day for a leisurely vacation.
Good enough for one night.
Sebastien Con 26/07/2014 09:12We got a superior room on the first floor of the main building. This was very spacious and with a very large bed. We used the sofa for our daughter to sleep. The restaurant is serving average dishes and the breakfast is as well average. The wall between corridor and room could be better isolated as you can hear everybody walking in the corridor from the room.
