Christopher Son 07/05/2017 18:36This was our second visit to Chateau Verie in the past 9 months. We needed to come back to confirm just how good it really was. We were greeted by Madame who showed us to our room in the east wing overlooking the pool, tennis court & gardens. The room was tastefully decorated & furnished in period style with a stunning impact. A 6ft bed, chaise- longue & applicable furnishings. Large ensuite with bath/shower & best of all good mirrors to shave in.
The restaurant, in period style, was spaciously laid out, the food just wonderful & a good selection of wines. So good we booked Sunday lunch the next day.
I can truthfully say our stay was again as good as before. The owners & staff were always friendly, with a good sense of humour. No language barriers is a bonus. What is there not to like.
We will certainly recommend & return.

chrisndi12on 24/12/2016 16:22Yet another fabulous meal in this quaint and very French restaurant. We have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. The staff are courteous, highly professional and efficient. The food is superb, always delicious and so cleverly presented. The whole experience is just perfect, worth every cent; we will be returning.

Highlight of our trip!

We decided that we wanted to head around St-Jean-de-Monts and booked the Chateau via an app. Staying for two nights, we had full access to the swimming pool (which was the perfect size for dip in the sun!) and enjoyed the gardens with a drink on the terrace. The room was perfect - great size, high ceilings and a comfy bed. It was really hot when we visited but a fan brought a much needed breeze. We didn't get to try out the restaurant but really wished we could have! If we are in the area, we'd book again!

MarieLloydon 14/10/2016 16:08It had been six years since our last visit and we wondered was it as good as we remembered. We were not disappointed. The staff are as fantastic as ever, friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the château is a reflection of the lovely people who work there. The grounds are beautifully maintained and entice the visitor to wander around. I loved our room, lots of space, lovely furniture in keeping with the age of the building. Every need of the guest is catered for. After a fantastic nights sleep in a very comfortable bed,we had a delicious breakfast. There were lots of choice and I can recommend the Fresh fruit salad which is the best I have ever tasted..We will definately be back..
