What People are saying

Requires renovation urgently

pecko67on 13/02/2017 20:23

You get the picture quickly after arriving here. Everything is dated. Including personnel. Damaged carpet, cracked walls, toilet that keeps running. Small rooms and dated furniture. Not the place to spend your night. Personnel is doing their job, but seem not to be the most friendly or hospitable. The hotel restaurant Saint-Jean de Bois is Ok. But overall: glorious days of this place have been long gone.

Nice stay in room 309 with a view.

lvdb2017on 22/01/2017 11:50

Room was very big and all facilities for a room of 4 stars were present. We had a nice view form our romm room 309 It's a little bit old dated but the bed sleeped well and we had a lot of space. The room was clean and I prefer this room before several other rooms I slept. The nature arround the hotel and on her property is very nice. We liked also the location not far from home and Brussles, Wavre Louvain-La Neuve are oly some minutes away. Sevral options to meet some activity. It's not only the building that is important it's all arround it also. Nice parking, Noce wellness with strealing bath en all facilities present. I iwll come back.

Spectacular buildings, but run-down rooms

JohanF8240on 15/12/2016 16:46

The venue is spectacular: big, bold awnings and a secluded, get-away-from-it-all feeling. Check-in staff very obliging & quick. Rooms feel rather run-down, but spacious. Hotel has a somewhat dormant aspect to it? You feel like you're home alone. :-) Breakfast was good, if a little light on fruits - and NO BACON?!? - for the scrambled eggs? HERESY!! ;-)
Unfortunately didn't have time / opportunity to try the whole spa-section, but hear it is very good?

Ok for 1 night

Paul Non 23/11/2016 07:53

During a business trip in Belgium I was staying in this hotel that is close to my customer and while I was enjoying the staff kindness and support, the rest wasn't that good.
The room was outdated for sure, the bathroom not fresh either, lot of marks on the walls, bed was too soft as well.
Room service was OK with a big salmon salad and plenty of cheeses but price was high and 9 euros charge for delivery is absolutely above the standards.
In the end as my title says it was OK for 1 night.

Depends what room you have!

carla85252on 01/09/2016 21:59

We come every month to this hotel because it is close to one of our clients.
The rooms in the side buildings are lovely and large!
I have now a room in the main building and now I understand the bad reviews...Absolutely not worth 4 stars. To be honest, I have never been in such a bad conditioned hotel room in my life.
First things first - The guy at reception is always very friendly, always smiling, very hands on - perfect. The old waiter in the restaurant however is quite the opposite. Sighing when you order extra french fries, never says hello or goodbye, a grumpy old man! But the hotel chef is amazing, great food with a great view on the garden and forest.
Breakfast is small but good! Bar is slow but nice cocktails and friendly waiter.
My pictures explain the condition of my current main building room. What photos can't tell you is the noise I have from my neighbors going in and out their room, I can hear clearly their television or when they use the bathroom, I can hear what time their alarm goes of and how often they use the snooze button ... I just heard my neighbor sneezing while he is having a Skype call with his wife.. Also, yesterday there was a conference in the hotel and people got drunk and made lots of noise until the early hours. No air conditioning in the small main building rooms, not much space in closet, fridge appears to be broken, television also broken so if you can, please ask for a room in the side building!!
