Anton von 10/05/2017 08:27This hotel is related to the Hotel school in Namur. Students learn their skills here. The welcome was poorly, and everything is outdated, it all needs maintenance , it lacks passion. This hotel is owned by the province and unfortunately it shows that you should never ever let civil servants make decisions on running a commercial business.
Stunning location

The Chateau is imposing from the exterior...but that's what a Châteaux are supposed to be, right?
Plain but nicely appointed inside. Restaurant....hmmm.... well if you don't mind be waited on by young people who are learning the ropes, managed in what we experienced as a haphazard kind of manner then I'm sure you will find it very enjoyable.
We didn't. Having asked the young (looked like a child to me - but that's age for you) waiter what the vegetarian dish was, he replied that it was a dish of 'vegetables' - ok so we speak French so no language barrier. However this is Walloon country and the French are not known for their ready acknowledgement of vegetarian food, so I suppose we should not have been surprised.
We ate in town, it was more re-assuring and better value.
Oh and its noisy too.....the sound of street racers doing their hill climb bit up to the château and down again is not attractive.
Good hotel
Jos Bon 01/05/2017 15:04Overall a good hotel. Rooms are big but no chairs in the room. Breakfast is good but items on the buffet could be filled quicker as items run out very quick. Close to the citadel of Namur. 10 minute drive away from Namur city.
Interesting stay!
David Bon 14/04/2017 13:00We arrived on motorbike after a jaunt around Luxembourg and the Ardennes. We had intended to eat in town but the Chateaux remote location led us to eat in the restaurant which was excellent, with a set menu and a la carte. The hotel is also a cookery school which made it interesting as the students were attentive and enthusiastic and being instructed at the same time.
Breakfast was excellent with hot items being individually cooked in public view in the restaurant!
The room was comfortable

Karen Con 07/04/2017 00:12We had a gift voucher (Bongo) and it was a great experience. Very friendly staff, magnificent view, nice room (huge bathroom), complimentary drink at the bar. We had dinner in the restaurant, which works in partnership with a school. The food was superb and even though there were a couple of very small glitches from the young staff (in schooling), they were quite professional and with just the right balance of politeness and friendly remarks.
