Great French Hospitality

We were at the chateau de Verrieres only for one night, but we wish we stayed longer and it stopped raining in the middle of August. We were welcomed by Francois, who made us feel at home in his castle. A very personalised treatment compared to all the branded hotels. The castle was built in the late 19th century, Belle Époque architecture, very well maintained to keep the same ambiance and feeling. The attention to detail to maintain the Belle Époque style and finish was remarkable. It has only ten rooms with no dining facility but there are a number of restaurants ten minutes away in the City Centre. Breakfast was fresh and beautifully ipresented in the converted cellar. Francois and his wife were great hosts. We wish the weather was more inclement for August so that we could have enjoyed the surroundings. Next time.

Elegant place in a secret garden

We spent two nights in this charming chateau, and found it amazing. It looks and feels really authentic and special, even compared to other chateaux of the Loire valley. The interiors represent an ideal refuge for anyone who is tired of the modern city life and wants to relax in a wonderfully beautiful, charming and unique place.
Very nice bathrooms with big windows and elegant bath.
There is also a room with jakuzzi and sauna, which you can rent just for yourself.
Security is such that you would appreciate it if you're a rock or pop star)
The hosts are really nice and helpful, we have the warmest memories of talking to them. Thank you for this great place and two amazing days from all our family!

Chateau de Verrieres offers the perfect couples experience. I m very picky and this was 10 out of 10 for me. It provides much needed peace, quiet and luxury at an affordable price. I would return without reservation.

Beautiful hotel but...

This hotel is a beautifully decorated and furnished old building about a ten minute walk from the main part of town.We enjoyed our 2 night stay here in June with a couple of exceptions ...it was during a heat wave ..the rooms were very hot and the AC unit we had was not put on prior to our arrival and when it was on ..it was noisy and it struggled to cope....we left the windows open instead but woke up bitten by insects.
The other room we had only had a fan...however I do appreciate these were exceptional circumstances.
The reception staff were friendly ..and assisted us in finding a restaurant.
The communal areas are elegant and sophisticated......although a bit museum like....
I thought I might have a drink in the lounge but sat there on my own for 40 minutes and never saw a soul!

A comfortable night's stay in a charming chateau. After 5 full days of cycling it was lovely to rest in such a comfortable hotel. A decent walk to the Main Street for a meal but a comfortable and well managed hotel.
