What People are saying

Charming Hôtel with excellent restaurant

Close to Chambery and halfway to our destination from Geneva, this seemed like a good place to stop after a late flight.
We were not disappointed. Easy to find, comfortable good value room. Not one of their fancy ones but perfectly nice.
The highlight was the restaurant. Fabulous food, one of the best meals we have had recently. Service is not quick, but courteous and with French aplomb.the imaginative menu and standard of the food and its presentation, superb.

Great stay!

Good rooms and meals at reasonable prices, good place for an overnight stay.

It was a couple of years since we last stayed here, and not much had changed (scaffolding up at the main building suggests improvements may be in prospect). There had been a wedding here, I think, so car park was nearly full (I think there's an overflow area nearby). We had room 63 in the building at the end with the chapel - quite large and with good views. Lift and ramps now to make access with luggage easier. Many power points in the bedroom but it could have done with a bit of attention: one tap top was loose, the toilet had a poor flush. We had a good dinner and breakfast as usual. I expect we'll come again. One oddity again: if you book online you can get a superior room for less than a standard one.

Charming place and great food

Great place to spend a weekend in couple. I booked the "chambre charme" and when I got it, it was very small and with no bath tub. I called reception asking for one with a bath tub and they changed it immediately for another one. Took room 11 and it was just great! beautiful bathroom and spacey room.

Great dinner in the restaurant and great wine!! Price for dinner is very correct however due to the high quality of wine the bill can go high very fast. Beautiful ambience with a guitarrist and violinist that put the last charming touch to that moment.

You can also buy good wine over there... Muscat wine highly recommended!
For the ones who likes hicking they propose few routes to try, however make sure weather conditions are good to go to the mountain.
Thumbs up for this place!

Charming hotel

My wife and I spent a night at the Chateau at the end of a two week cycling vacation in the Haute Savoie and Savoie regions of France. We had a charming room overlooking the hotel's park, had a lovely last bike ride along the Rhone river a short drive away, took a walking tour of the old section of Chambery nearby, and capped off the day with a magnificient 4-star dinner in the Chateau's restaurant. Highly recommended.

if you avoid the restaurant...

I booked a suite for a week end in a his hotel and I was pretty satisfied about the quality for price of the accommodation.
Breakfast worthed the extra money we paid, expecially because it took place in 'depandance' in the garden.
Dinner however has been a disaster. Service has been extremely slow. We did not have a waiter but several ones, each of them seemed working individually and no communication at all between them.
Our 3-courses dinner lasted 2 hous and half. Additional to that the restaurant bill was very high. They do not have a children menu, or at least they did not propose it to me, so I paid the full price of a main course for two bites of meat that my daughter had before falling asleep... (impossible to explain the waiters that I wished that main course before anything else as ot was for a child).
... if you choice this hotel you'd better to avoid the restaurant.
