3-5 minutes to bus stops that goes to all theme parks. 3 minutes to the beach and IGA, 3 minutes to heaps of good restaurants. Super spacious. 2 bathrooms. Beautiful courtyard. Nice pool and spa. Average clean job. But great value for money. Even though some teens party nearby, we can't hear anything with windows shut.

I stayed here over a weekend in July for my birthday and it was the worst mistake booking this hotel.
There were a number of things advertised on the hotel booking website that were not provided such as a hairdryer, wifi internet information and the beds were incredibly hard and stiff to sleep on. If you can't sleep on rock hard beds, which I'm sure most people can't, then I DO NOT recommend you stay here.
I had to call up the hotel in the morning to find out about the things that weren't provided and they told me they don't provide hairdryers because people steal them! My thoughts were, then don't advertise them if you aren't going to provide them or take the bond money from the people who steal them, instead of making everyone else miss out. Too bad that I needed the hair dryer to go out that night and there was no way to ask for one, since reception didn't open on weekends until 9-11am.
Other cons about this place was that it smelt like the carpets had just been cleaned and was overly perfumed. We had to open all of the doors to get the smell out, which made the entire place cold. Then the blankets that were provided to sleep with were only a flimsy fleece blanket and for winter this was just not good enough! There are no air cons in the rooms to even up the heating either!
I called up the hotel out of office staff at 8am the next morning because I wasn't going to sleep there another night on the rock hard beds, with me and my guests getting the worst sleep of our life! I was hoping that I could check out and move to a different room, even giving up the 2 bedroom we had if they had a 1 bedroom available. The hotel manager didn't get back to me, therefore I had to call again at 10am. He was very unhelpful and refused to help us in any way. He couldn't provide a solution for the bedding (saying they were 5* quality and won't attempt to please every single guest. They also couldn't move us to another room. I then asked, since we had already checked out, if I could get a refund for that night, so we could find somewhere else to stay that night. He refused that as well and took a "too bad, you've already paid, so deal with it" approach. I have never experienced such a complete lack of assistance from anyone in the hospitality industry. This manager's customer service resolution was just appalling. Therefore, I can't see this being an enjoyable stay for anyone else who has anything go wrong with with the apartment because his attitude was just awful.
I attempted to resolve this a number of times with the out of office staff and again through email with this company but nothing was done. I ended up checking out a night early not even continuing my birthday weekend down the coast and having to cancel all of my reservations. I will NEVER stay there EVER again! There are a number of beautiful hotels just around the corner so it was so disappointing I didn't research the reviews and stay elsewhere.
Pros about the place was the location, being so close to the beach but then again every other hotel has this as a pro. Read the reviews and do your research, I wish I had! Biggest mistake booking this place. It completely ruined my weekend having to deal with all these problems and getting totally ignored and palmed off like we didn't matter.

Stayed for a week in unit 39. Three floors walk up no problem...unit very clean, bed comfortable, TV worked. Sitting on the balcony placed our meals on to the table, collapse! Sat on one of the chairs, leant back, it was cracked, caught my skin in between, ouch....in the kitchen basic, knives all blunt even the tongs don't work, stained cups, all stuff which could be so easily fixed for a small amount of money.
Told the owner on our departure, his response oh I will take it up with the owner, didn't really see it as a real problem if there had been kids around with food or hot things falling off the three legged table, oh well...you can always blame the owner of the unit, easy! At 160 a night and I know it was school hols not good enough.

Chidori Court is located on the Main Beach half way between the beach and Tedder Avenue in what is clearly an identifiable community surrounded by high rise flats. The shops are all close by in Tedder Avenue and the beach is a couple of minutes away. The Southport SLSC is a five minute walk away and Seaworld a five minute drive.
The apartments are quite basic but comfortable enough for a few days and each has its own underground car parking space. Many apartments appear to be owner occupied and the pool and gardens are well maintained.
Our apartment had two bedrooms and bathrooms with windows both into the garden and road outside. It was very quiet. Provision of crockery, kitchen utensils etc was adequate but basic and we quickly topped up supplies from the nearby Coles. Beds were on the small side but comfortable.
Biggest drawback (with two teenagers) was the wifi. It was very slow at the best of times and the limit was 2gb. We quickly exceeded that and had to buy extra capacity.
Biggest advantage is its location so close to the beach; we were on the beach before. 6.00am.

Chidori court was pretty basic. Affordable, frill free, nice pool/spa area. Close to great shops, staff were casual but i like the lack of intrusion. Beds were a bit soft for me. Overall it was ok. I wouldnt dismiss the idea of staying again.
