Good alternative for the big hotel
Castor717on 16/02/2012 17:55The hotel is located in Beijing's old hutong neighbourhood, and has a very nice setting. Reception girl spoke quite well English and was very helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. Only odd thing is that there was no door to the bathroom, but after all that makes the charm of a place like that.
No room despite having reservation
TravelLifeLearnon 17/09/2011 11:47Place looks nice. We did not get to see the rooms though. Although we had a reservation there was no room. The place was over-booked. Apparently, they had planned to send us to another courtyard hotel but that one was also full.
Solution was they helped us get a room on our previous hotel in Beijing and we cancelled the reservation
They were very kind and apolegetic as well as helpful during all this. However, they did mess up and we spend 3 hrs on getting back on tract. As I can understand from the other reviews this is not the first time there are problems with the reservations.
If you plan to stay here, it might be worthwhile to confirm your reservations a couple of days prior to arrival.
