Carpet grubby and not a spacious room.
Washing machine took forever and no English instructions or staff who knew how to use it.

YorkshireFigaroon 12/03/2017 17:34I made a last minute booking at this hotel on the basis of location and previous reviews. The only available twin room was a standard smoking one, which was located on the second floor so obviously none of the views available on the higher floors. The room was very clean and modern and there was no smell of smoke, and the separate toilet and bath/shower rooms with the sink in the bed room were fine. However, I am used to the small size of most Japanese hotel rooms but this was the first one I have stayed in where there was absolutely no where to put suitcases or clothes, and it was virtually impossible for two people to move around the room. Just a couple of feet more space would have made all the difference.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was excellent. It was within walking distance of the station ( with the aid of google maps ) and there was a tram stop outside for access to all the sights. The sea front and harbour were also very near.
Breakfast was not included but was a reasonable price and very varied and good quality with the best hotel scrambled eggs I have had.

Douglas Pon 11/02/2017 08:09it was snowing when we arrived so the warm room was very good shower worked well and good beds.breakfast passed to test eggs scrambled and ham bacon on the what more can you ask for.hotel is close to many bars in back streets you will find them lots of snack food too.
Size and layout of room proved to be a bit of a challenge
John Fon 08/11/2016 00:39Although clean tidy the size and layout of the room didn't work for me. I stayed in a twin room and there wasn't sufficient space for any luggage other than at the foot of the bed which made getting around the room difficult. Also rather than having a full bathroom, the loo was in separate space which allowed for a separate wet room with shower and very small bath. Unfortunately this meant that the loo was in a room probably no bigger than a double wardrobe and the handbasin in the main part of the room. Breakfast was a bit a challenge as there was no system in place to tell which tables were no longer occupied and could therefore be cleared by the staff. All in all I was disappointed with my stay here.
