Best value for money, but location further from Tokyo center.
bergenser2016on 15/04/2017 05:50We had stayed before at low class hotels in the Ichihara/Chiba area, and this time chose the Chisun Inn at Chiba Hamano which was the best value for money on our 14 days trip in Japan visiting Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto as well as Chiba for the O70 World Cup Soccer tournament which we won against 6 Japanese teams and 1 team from Denmark. So we were happy for the stay and happy for the win.

Peter Ton 28/08/2014 16:30Very nice budget hotel, stayed in a 3 bed room ( double & single bed above ) not a lot of space in the room, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was limited and catered mainly for the Japanese taste. Breakfast Room , like all areas of the hotel very clean. Staff, in the main spoke very little English , but were very friendly and did their best to ensure sure ours was a pleasant stay. There is a small laundry room on site, and if you fancy a drink, beer, soft drink etc... there is a vending machine in the breakfast area. There are also electric kettles that can be taken to your room if you'd like to ( No Tea or coffee in the room, you'll need to buy your own ) This hotel is just 5 minutes walk to the local train station and its just a few stops before you are in Chiba City. There is a very nice local (small ) supermarket at the entrance to the station, where you will be able to find all you need.
As a base, this is an ideal & well priced hotel, just don't expect the Ritz...

steven_nagoyaon 09/10/2013 01:08I booked based on reviews of the bed. My non-smoking room had a large bed, but it was just two smaller beds pushed together. So, there was a bump in the middle of the bed and I had to sleep on one narrow side. The bed was super-hard!
The room itself was fine, and the bathroom had some character, with a nice burgundy colour rather than the sterile white I see at most budget hotels. The room had good temperature control so it was comfortable in that sense.
The hotel has wifi, but it kept cutting in and out. However, it was decent when sitting at the desk.
I didn't stay for the breakfast, but there was a continental style offered. The check out was simple; just put my room key in a box and away we went.
Best value hotel for driving trip
TlabAndyon 17/08/2013 03:34Our family stated this hotel for 2 nights. Hotel is located in a quiet low-dense residential area. Best for driving trip like us. Parking is available in front of hotel. Very convenience.
Rooms are good and uniquely provided a double-deck bed to make a 3-person room. Very clean and effective.
Overall this hotel is best value for money. Will certainly consider to visit again. Thumb up!
