Close convenient location

Spent 3 nights at Chitvan, in the newer Sal cottages set next to each other across from the swimming pool. Pleasant rooms each with a veranda.

Food was good as was the service. The dining room looked a bit bare, they could do with some murals hanging on the walls, to give it a more homely feel.

Our Guide, Naran was good, he showed us 5 different tigers and was a good birder.

Kanha was also the only place we saw a Sloth Bear, well done Naran!

Perfect place if you want to be with nature

Beautiful property ,very close to Mukhi gate of Kanha , the most amazing hospitality from team Chitvan Jungle lodge. This property is nicely spread between cottages and a nice farm area where kids could enjoy the fresh farm pick too. The team had taken care of every detail requirement what so ever we might have had. Thank you for making it a memorable holiday for us

A comfortable jungle resort

Chitvan is a really good place to stay while visiting Kanha national park. It's located at 5 kms from Mukki gate, and it takes about 4.5 hours to reach from Jabalpur airport. Later, we were came to know that Nagpur airport is only 3 hours away. It may be a little challenging to find the resort so it's better to check for directions with the hotel staff.
The rooms and cottages are comfortable, tidy, large and provide all standard amenities given in a hotel. Despite hard work by the cleaning staff, you may find the odd lizard or grasshopper in your room, which you can't help in a jungle property. Food served is finger licking good. Largely Indian cuisine was served during our stay because most guests prefer that, but the chef checked with us about our preferences. We requested for Italian and continental, and he delighted us with delicious meals. The staff is very helpful, courteous and always ready to please, even at odd hours. Lastly, for animal lovers, there are 3 German shepherds with 4 puppies in the property who are very happy when guests visit them to play ball.

It was absolutely amazing experience for us. I could not even imagine this place will be so good. Starting with the room, which has beautiful interior, bathtub in bathroom, ending with ultimate hospitality of the staff and the manager mr Ashwani Agarwal.
They provide packed breakfast for the safari, which is very good and tasty. And also convenient as safari starts early morning. After safari they offer cool drink and wet towels for refreshment, which is so thoughtful from their side.
Small things make this place so big and good.
This place is the perfect for escaping from the civilization. Beautiful garden, swimming pool in the middle of the forest, exciting to know there is nothing around you and at night all animals might be roaming around.

Food deserves special mentioning. It was outstanding. We just loved the food, it was delicious.

Definitely will be coming back here again to spend more days and enjoy hospitality at its best.
