Beautiful building and rooms but offers nothing else.
Maxb9013on 12/05/2016 02:53The location is behind the Great Hall a big tourist attraction but it's also at the top of a large hill and you need to walk up that huge hill every time you go back to the hotel. Also as an added bonus it's on a very busy road where there is a good chance you could get run over just trying to get back to your room, not a great set up.
Not one person spoke english and if anyone calls you there is a very good chance they can't even get a call through to your room my office tried many times unsuccessfully.
They advertise air conditioning but they didn't turn it on despite the fact it was very hot in the rooms. I'm told that this was a timing issue and that they only turn the air on in the summer months but it's not advertised that way the room I booked said it has air.
The hotel and rooms are very nice maybe 4 star this is a very beautiful building just with no services for none Chinese travelers.
I will never book there again.
Fab hotel
likesalaughon 25/10/2014 06:12We stayed as a group of four at this hotel for one night before our next trip down the three gorges. Lovely clean hotel, nice staff, good breakfast. In a convenient location, we had our own tour guide and transport so didnt need to rely on finding our way around. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area.
Chongqing DLT Hotel
vilivilmaon 04/06/2012 14:05We spent 10 days in Chongqing and this hotel was very nice. Good location near to the People Square and 10 minutes walk to subway (which was at the first time, hard to find). Usually we just grabbed a cab from the Renmin Road and no matter the location, fare was ¥8-12(in downtown area).
Most of the visitors of this hotel were chinese tourist groups from other cities. The breakfast was excellent, but very chinese. Boiled vegetables, noodles, chicken porridge, dumplings, boiled eggs, chinese pastries and fresh fruit. Toasts were the only western food they had to offer.
Rooms were nice and tidy. I found a shoe dryer very handful on our trip cos it rained for 3 days. Bathrobes and slippers were included in rooms and 2 bottles of mineral water per day.
Some websites tell that this hotel has a "health center". We checked it and it was just a poor roof terrace with couple mahjong rooms and tables for chinese chess.
Great atmosphere, comfort and location
Ruth Ion 29/05/2012 11:25We also chose this hotel on the internet because it was different, close to People's Square and 3 Gorges Museum and reasonably priced. As stated by others, we appeared to be the only non-Chinese guests and, although the staff spoke little English, we were made to feel very welcome, by staff and guests. A taxi from the airport was very inexpensive and reception staff organised another to take us into the city centre. Breakfast was included with an extensive range of food. Unfortunately, our stay was very short and we intend to return as there is plenty to see in and around Chongqing.. We'll definitely stay at this hotel in future
