What People are saying

Very friendly staff

Matthew Son 30/03/2017 01:57

The rooms are a little dated but cosy and the breakfast is a little basic, but the staff are very friendly and helpful and this place is extremely well-located, right in the centre of town and just a short walk from the main ski lift.

Central, pleasant staff, tiny bathroom, very noisy

Travelseeker2014on 29/03/2017 20:44

The hotel is very centrally located & perfect for a quick walk to the lift in the morning to catch the first chair.
We arrived and went into reception, nobody about at 3pm, waited 5 mins before going into the bar to ask for someone to come help us. Reception also smells very bad, think its a drainage issue. Staff member who did eventually serve us was very helpful.
Our room on the first floor was very small, with two single beds pushed together, but did have a very large balcony. limited storage space in the room, but ok for a 4 day trip. However no safe in the room which is not good.
Bed was comfy and bed linen was clean however at 6ft2 my husbands feet hung over the edge of the bed.
The bathroom was very disappointing, with no shower only a bath with a hand held hose to hold over your own head to shower with. There was plenty of hot water. The shower gel bottles provided by the hotel were empty. The frame from the door had one side of it fallen off and was propped in the corner of the bathroom. That evening I ripped my nightshirt on a nail that was exposed. However the next day someone did come to fix it and was very pleasant.
The bar and restaurant are very good with a good menu and wine selection. Service was prompt and the staff were really good. Sitting outside in the sun was really nice watching the people go by.
On Friday and Saturday night a small bar opposite the hotel plays very loud music until 2am. so load that on the second night I had to try to sleep with my headphones on! However on Wed/Thurs evening there was no such problem. Overall I dont think I would be returning which is a shame as the staff were great and the village is beautiful.

A March Visit

I feel the previous reviews are a little harsh. Yes not the Ritz but for well under £90 a night what do you expect! Room was clean, warm, comfortable bed, lots of hot water and very central. Negatives for us no safe and could do with a couple of English channels on the TV. Other from that a great value place to stay!

Skiing holiday

Nice hotel in a lovely French Alp village, close to lifts. Plenty of really good quality bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The downside of the hotel unfortunately is the worst drain smell coming from the en suite bathroom. It was constant and so bad at times it made us gag. The staff didn't really seem to be on the ball. 2 reception staff, whilst nice enough regularly had a blank expression on their faces, even when they did understand my French! Breakfast staff more interested in their regulars than keeping an eye on their residents e.g. The basket labelled hard eggs was full of uncooked eggs, the juice machine was empty twice in our short stay, and if you wanted hot water out of the flask you basically did your upper body workout for the day. When asked for help you told to push harder. The food itself was a good range for what we were expecting.
The worst thing about the hotel is the noise. In our 5 night stay there wasn't one night where either of us got a good sleep. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbour's phone conversations, babies crying, parties, smell cigarette smoke which I can only guess was being smoked on the balcony, and doors slamming. All this in the early hours.
It's such a shame as with some visible management this could be a hotel to recommend.

Central location for ski slopes

Rachel Gon 30/01/2017 20:32

We stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are small, with limited facilities. Bathroom could have been cleaner, and on one night we had no hot water. There was a good choice of breakfast. The hotel is located very close to the church, so great access to the ski slopes and lifts.
