Staying in Chateau Clement makes you feel like royalty, but it is actually very down to earth. The owner and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Although no food is available other than breakfast, the town is a 5 min walk and has numerous places to eat and drink. We thought the total experience was a gem of a find.

Le Château Clément is a charming country house with well-furnished bedrooms and suites. The welcome is excellent as the owner, Marie-Antoinette Chabot-Rojon, does all she can to make one’s stay pleasant. It is now only bed and breakfast. There are many stairs and no lift, although one room and a self-catering suite are accessible from a terrace and, if really necessary, breakfast could be served in the room.

I have nothing but praise for this hotel, the rooms and the staff. I can only reiterate how enjoyable our stay was and full credit to the owner, Marie-Antoinette, for what she has done with the Chateau.

We were there for 2 nights with out 2 small boys (ages 1 and 4) and it felt as though we were saying goodbye to friends rather than staff when we left. The building itself is truly stunning, you have to visit just to be in awe of the history and architecture of the place. The interior is of the same stunning high standard, lots of original features, murals and marble. It really is like staying in your very own stately home rather than a hotel. Every amenity was made available to us and the private pool was a godsend in the hot weather! This is no normal gite, B &B or hotel, it is something very special that I have not found in any of my travels around the world. I would strongly recommend all travelers to the area to stay here to not only experience the wonderful hospitality of the owners and staff, but enjoy what it is like to stay in a fully-restored Chateau such as this.

It looks like the photos; superb. both outside and in. If that were not enough, then the whole experience was magical and memorable. Eric is a master wizard with food, while Marie-Antoinette is magical with people; they claim to have trained at Hanbury Manor in Herts, but i think they learnt their magic at Hogwarts; we were spellbound from the moment we set foot inside. If you get the chance to encounter Eric's food, jump at it, for it matches anything I've tasted at Ramsey's. The quality of the rooms equals the Royal Horse Guards in London. Marie-Antoinette has a way to make you feel like long lost loved family; no one comes close to her skills. Put this on your list of MUST STAY. We miss it already.

I cannot recommend Chateau Clement highly enough. My wife & I stayed for two nights and wished we had booked for longer. The Chateau and grounds are very beautiful, you will not be disappointed. Our room was very clean and comfortable, bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely bathroom with bath and shower. We joined with the rest of the guests for dinner on our first night, which was very well prepared with was great food with excellent wines. It was a lovely start to our holiday. Marie-Antoinette is a fabulous host, very generous of her time and very helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. She recommended and booked some lovely local restaurants which are only a short walk to the town. Chateau Clement has a lovely friendly, family feel and atmosphere. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back.
