Early days in the business
DaffySUKon 01/09/2016 20:03This chateau has changed its name so cannot be found on a road map. Although Patrick has labelled some roads they were not the ones on which we travelled . Mouzeil is not the nearest village.. We arrived harassed.
Our hosts were perfectly charming, the room large and very comfortable. The pool a bonus.
The dinner was very good but a bit expensive for what it was.
Very unfortunately nothing was said about the mosquitos. It was a hot night so naturally without forewarning we opened the windows as there is no air conditioning.
As a result we were well and truly bitten. 65 bites between us.
With warning w e could so easily have taken evasive action. As it was we spent the night fighting mosquitos. As did our fellow guests. Nets would have been very welcome.

ThierrySchon 07/06/2016 22:05The hotel is very big, located in a very quiet area, however it has limited breakfast, no wifi in the bedrooms and it very dated.
The food was however very good and it was overall good stay. I booked over Hotels.com but there was no mention of the dinner and the limited wifi.
Just what a Chateau should be !
simonabbots2016on 02/06/2016 21:15Looking for an overnight stay between Roscoff and the Dordogne we chanced upon this gem and booked for the stop on the way down and, based on the reviews, for the return a week later. We also prebooked dinner by email. From the moment of our arrival it became clear that what the chateau might lack in windows and doors that open and close with a click was totally compensated for by the warmth of the welcome from Patrick and Frederique, the lovely large rooms and the excellent dinner - 4 courses including wine for a little over 30 euros per person.Being able to purchase very good local wines at a good price to take on our trip just added to an exceptionally worthwhile experience.

Whitbymanon 17/03/2016 00:25The Château is very Pleasant, and of course typically French. The owners are very pleasant. The grounds are lovely. The rooms are a good size with en suite showers / baths. My 3 teenage children stayed in another larger room and enjoyed their stay. It is a typical French château, not necessarily luxurious, but clearly historical and original. The wedding reception that we were attending was in a purpose built hall in the grounds which was great! Overall a very nice place to stay. Thank you !

Patrick and Frederique are wonderful hosts, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Their food is delicious and delicately prepared, with an eye to presentation and taste. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated, each one with a different theme. Very romantic and comfortable.
