An unforgettable night at Chateau de la Poste. A very special place in a beautiful, magical and peaceful setting. There is a good quality price relation.
We hope to return for a few days to know the whole environment, it's worth it.
The place is wow not the rooms

I was in Belgium - country that I really love. Searching for the Miranda Castle witch I found and vist by my own and on my own risk. Ok the place is great, has a extraordinary nature view and park but ... but .. the parking is so far from the concierge
- the ladys speaks not a perfect english and the room was dirty. The smell of pee of the moquette ----- have no a bar for a tea anytime and the city is not near by - ok for me is no -
Such a disappointment....

The long driveway with potholes should have given us a clue...but here's what we found:
1. There's no way to drive to the door to offload luggage. You have to to park 100 meters away and drag your luggage through gravel.
2. We were starving after traveling, it was after 8pm, and as the chateau is a bit out of the way, we asked if we could get a bite to eat. The receptionist advised we could ONLY get the 3-course meal (for 34 Euro). If they could do that, why could they not offer some bread, cheese, and a glass of wine? We had to drive back out to find a place to eat, which wasn't easy at that time of night.
3. The room was ridiculous small.
4. The room was dirty and smelled like sewerage backup. Shower curtain and duvet obviously had not been washed in awhile.
5. The pipes made a horrific noise when the toilet was flushed.
6. The decor was dark and seriously cheesy. Very poorly done.
7. The grounds are overgrown; the original chateau unkempt.
It was very obvious that this chateau is cheaply and poorly managed. I wouldn't bother.
Luckily, we were only staying for a few hours, leaving at 4am for a flight, otherwise, I would have walked out. There's much better places to stay.
Lost my Muji bath towel in the room

let's start with good things. The Chateau itself is very beautiful and the surrounding is nice, with woods and a small lake. However, we didn't get to stay in the main building but a small Chateau next to it. There is no lift there, making it difficult for family with babies. The room is very small and has no view of the woods and lake. Even though, up to this point we are still quite happy as we can walk around the Chateau, enjoy the beautiful scenery and only come back to the small room to sleep. However, the next day after we came back to the room, my own Muji bath towel which I brought to bath the baby was lost, there are two of them that hang on the baby cot, one white and one brown, exactly the same except the colours. The cleaning staff must have taken it without a second thought thinking its hotel's own towel. I am very unhappy with this and it's right beside a brown towel and the two are the same. Additionally, shouldn't the staff know which towels belong to hotel and which towels belong to the guest instead of blindly take all of them? We have talked to the reception and was told there was nothing they can do. True it's not a super valuable item but it's my baby's towel and we have brought it all the way from Asia to Europe and it shows that guest's items left in the room are not safe. I think the cleaning staff need to pay better attention in the future.
