Lovely experience

We stayed at this chateau for a week and it was a great experience. The host were very friendly. They offered an aperitif at arrival. The bedrooms were each in a different theme. The view is gorgeous. All in all, a very agréable experience.

In need of new management

My wife and I recently stayed for two nights, Location and grounds are very good, but we wish we had booked else where. Our room needed a lot of improvements and the breakfast was poor. Staffing level was very poor.

Just brill

We stay one night en route to the Dordogne. Excellent location for the louire valley, out of the town and quiet, well maintained room, good breakfast, (lasted us all day), v nice building but could with a bit of work but was to meant to be like that, staff good.

OK but no more

We were "upgraded" to this chateau when the hotel for which we had a confirmed reservation for an overnight stop was overbooked.

Apparently it was built in the early 20th century but aspires to look much older. Definitely in need of renovation and a deep clean.

Comfortable bed with good linen and sumptuous towels in a very tired bathroom.

As we were going out to eat, we asked for a room key which was reluctantly handed over with admonishment not to lose it as it was the only one they had!

We decided not to partake of breakfast here.

In need of some TLC

My wife and I stayed here during our tour of the Loire, the hotel is in a nice location and has what could be a lovely garden but we found it requiring a lot of work to tidy it up, the approach to the hotel gates was lined with an avenue of trees but the grassed land either side was overgrown and untidy.
It appeared that the three staff there were responsible for running of the hotel, this included making beds, cleaning, preparing and serving breakfast, and the gardening, and to be fair they did a good job on most of these.
The website states that there are five bedrooms, in fact there are ten, there is no restaurant which means a drive into the nearby town.
Our room was spacious and clean but had no beverage making facilities or a hair dryer which my wife found most annoying.
There is no air conditioning so during the the mid summer months I think the second floor bedrooms would be unbearable.
Its not a historic building, actually built in the twenties.
All in all its was not an unpleasant stay and for €120 not bad value.
