What People are saying

Fabulous first-night in France place to sleep.

SampleASampleon 23/01/2017 10:14

Long flight? Near CdG (but only attempt it with GPS), absolutely terrific alternate to any other hotel experience. Jump right in to what we all love about France. Be forewarned, however, this is an authentic period chateau - those are big staircases there to the top floor, especially if you are hauling heavy luggage. Charming suites, comfortable and clean, and quiet. Heaven to check in early (thank you!) and fall into a peaceful sleep. Near to Vaux-le-Vicomte, when you wake up again. And eat in the dining room here. Terrific all around.

Unique and affordable Chateau experience

I had a night in Paris before a flight to Guadeloupe so I researched for places so stay near the airport. I was quite surprised to find this amazing property with very reasonable prices. I decided to stay in the Main building as the rooms seemed so much nicer. I took a taxi from the airport (40 something euros). I got there in the middle of the afternoon and took a stroll on site. The property, the main building, the annexes, the gardens are beautiful!. Had a great time. The room was large and we had a great view from the large windows. The bathroom was huge. The robes were a nice touch. Dinner was very interesting. We had a menu and the advised wine selection. The only part I did not enjoy that much was actually the main dish. Next day we still had time to enjoy our stay. We paid in total 300 something euros. Cannot fault it in any way and thought it was very worthwhile.

Sleep was bliss at this outstanding pile of decor and history

Having enjoyed our stay neat the CDG airport for our last nite, before departing France, we decided to do the same near Orly. @0 km out it was a fine ending to a perfect break, especially the upgrade to a first floor room with floor-to- ceiling windows overlooking the rear of the property with a view that went on forever. Its lovely to walk the salons admiring the beauty of the outstanding decor. Sleep was bliss.

For when you just do not want a 'standard' overnight stay...

Richard Aon 07/09/2015 12:00

Nicely located away from the main road but still easily accessible you will find this 'chateau' to be a nice alternative to the standard hotel overnight stay options, provided you do not 'need' modernities like WiFi, TV, penthouses etc.
Remember it is an old castle, so floors creak and squeak, but rooms are spacious and tidy. The domain offers an oasis of tranquility
Unfortunately we did not make a dinner reservation to experience the menu that looked very promissing, indeed.

Lovely French Chateau

Impressive building and lovely rooms which served as a one night stop over for us on a motorcycle touring holiday. A unique experience to be in such a spectacular place and would loved to have stayed longer if we had been staying in the area. This gave us a great first stop over point for our tour. We were on the top floor which is quite a climb with luggage on the staircases. There is no lift, so so you may want to check what floor you are on if you are an older person or have any mobility problems. We didn't use the restaurant but it was fine dining style (and price).
