Charm and Style
andrew bon 30/06/2017 13:37Charming and stylish country house hidden away and almost impossible to find on maps and satnav. Our room on the top floor was beautifully furnished as were the ground floor 'public rooms'. The owners were delightful and served a wonderful gourmet dinner on the terrace and a good breakfast the next morning. Our only regret was having to leave after only one night. An excellent place to stay for a few nights peace and quiet. I would not class this as a hotel, too small and personable - exactly what we were after. Lovely large grounds.
A truly wonderful stay
Lois Jon 13/12/2016 01:09Thank you so much for making my husband's 60th birthday one to remember! We felt so welcome - lovely hosts, discreet yet there when needed. The room was fabulous - spacious and charming. the evening meal was delicious as was the breakfast the next morning. We will certainly recommend you to our friends, family and anyone else !!
All the best

Chateau du Pin - wonderful Chateau
Jane Gon 01/08/2016 00:53Jean Luc met us at the front door and was the most gracious host imaginable. We had a lovely room that had an amazing view from front to back. The Chateau had an interesting artistic flavor with each room being named after an author. the artwork was also creative and imaginative. ( and as an American I can say the shower was awesome)! We had dinner at the Chateau prepared by the Chateau's chef that was delicious. We enjoyed lovely conversation with other guests from France at the Chateau. The breakfast the next morning was equally as sumptuous. The family story of Jean Luc Josse was fun to hear - about the origins of the hunting lodge of DuPin. We enjoyed roaming through the woods of King Arthur - Broceliande - and seeing Merlins burial place. You could not possibly go wrong visiting Jean Luc and his family at his Chateau in Brittany. It was the highlight of our visit to France.
The most exquisite place to celebrate my 60th birthday with friends from all over !
Sue Son 02/07/2016 19:33With friends and family from all over the States and from Belgium, we hit the jackpot !
This gorgeous place is owned by Rebekah and Richard. They live in another beautiful chateau nearby. Such grand service ! Richard checked in with us the first day to see if all was well and to give us some special tips about places to visit in the area. Our last day, both came by to wish us safe travels back to Paris. I can say that Chateau du Grand Pin is not as it is advertised...it is WAY better !! Perfect in every respect ! If anyone ever wishes to visit the Languedoc region in France, which is close to the walled medieval city of Carcassone, the Canal du Midi, lavender fields, and the countries of Andorra and Spain do not look anywhere else. Chateau du Grand Pin, also known as Manoir Theron, is perfection !
Great place to stay.
JANDDBritinParison 30/06/2016 16:44If you're expecting a Versailles type chateau this is definitely not for you . It is a charming unostentatious family home with a lot of original features. It has a very "lived in " feeling and the host and hostess are so welcoming. As well as the antique there is also the very modern in the shape of artwork , photography and sculpture
The bedroom was an excellent size , the bathroom palatial and all tastefully decorated.
Good breakfast and a very enjoyable home cooked dinner
All in all would 100% recommend
