Hotel was very clean and nice. Some remodeling going on but it was minimally invasive. Newly remodeled rooms were great. They made last minute accommodations when our team ended up in a hotel that was less than great. Fortunately I already had a reservation here. They went out of their way to help us room 15 players and 4 coaches.

Marriott is slipping

Staff extremely helpful. Food over priced for quality and quantity. Shocked that the new renovation there are not dressers to put clothes away. For long trips we unpack and as trip goes on put worn clothes in suitcase. We're informed that millennials live out of suitcases. Well that is not everyone. Starbucks was closed by 200pm on a Wednesday and no one could fill in, disappointing

They're Trying, But Perhaps Better Management Could Help

The Cincinnati Airport Marriott is a very nice hotel with a few bizarre quirks, and perhaps the best analogy to make is the Greatest American Hero television show from the 80s. A guy gets superhero powers but loses the instruction manual.

This Marriott is in the midst of an upgrade. It has an M Lounge. It has the Fresh Bites menu. It has some very nice rooms. But it doesn't seem to know how to put it all together.

Three examples:

1. Fresh Bites, which is a great Marriott concept. lets you order a modified room service menu but pick it up yourself, eliminating the need for crazy markups and built-in mandatory tips. The food is also, slightly, better for you. The key is that most of it is designed to be made quickly. So it's unclear how a caesar salad with chicken took more than 30 minutes to be made, then ended up being burned. And I don't mean the chicken was burned. The actual salad itself was hot and brown. In more than 1000 Marriott nights, I have never experienced a cooked caesar salad. In another attempt at Fresh Bites, I ordered a flatbread pizza. It, too, took an absurdly long period of time to be made, and then -- despite the fact that I was standing in the bar area for 30+ minutes and there was no question about what I was waiting for, the food was sent to my room as if it were old-fashioned room service. There's a $5 fee for that. While the hotel staff immediately removed all charges for the order and acknowledged it made the error, not me,, it's just bizarre that their Fresh Bites operation is slow and confused as opposed to fast and competent. Fresh Bites is an excellent Marriott product ... just, perhaps, not in this Marriott.

2. Housekeeping. For reasons that were unclear, at multiple times throughout a recent evening, housekeeping was literally making beds in an elevator lobby. While I don't believe the hotel was overbooked and decided to sell space out in the open, it is a bizarre site to see beds being made in an upper floor elevator area. Hotels tend to operate like Disney World. There's backstage and then there's what the customers see. Bed making in the hallway isn't one of those things you normally see.

3. Lastly, the M Lounge. This hotel's lounge is new so it is likely still coming on line, but a fair amount of food service equipment was out of order, and the placement of food throughout the lounge was, let's say, unique. Drinks are scattered throughout, refrigerators are scattered throughout, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what is placed where.

Overall, this is a great option if you would like be near the airport. Just note that the hotel seems to not be firing on all cylinders all the time.

2nd time staying here. Still good!

Yes, it's having a renovation. Yes, the reception area is rudimentary. But the rooms are new & nice. The staff are friendly and I would like to highlight Kristina Krummen for accommodating my needs. Plus, I'll like to give my thumbs up for Ping, the hotel driver, for his service too.

Convenient to both the Airport and Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Airport Marriott is a standard full service hotel, convenient to both the airport and downtown Cincinnati. It features newly refurbished guest rooms and while we were there was also undergoing a major lobby refurbishment.
The hotel was quiet and the rooms well appointed. With the lobby under construction, the entertainment areas of the hotel were less than enticing, but I'm sure once it's complete, the experience will be much better.
