alimE2896MOon 01/03/2017 21:41My family and I stayed here for 1 night, the entry to the hotel was unclear and on the way to our room out of the lift in the corridor there was a group of people sat playing card games and we had to walk through them which wasn't convenient and the light in the hall near our room wasn't working we couldn't see the door numbers properly and it was the cleanest of places
Ok place for the prices
Teacherbearon 27/02/2017 20:45This is really a uni dorm. The rooms are small with small bed but are clean and the shower was dry nice. The toilets are down the corridor. The parking is a little confusing but at least it is on site.
One thing is the entrance- they do not tell you that a code is needed to open the gate so someone has to walk to the desk which is not close to get the code.
The breakfast is very very basic but at least it is included
Over all is it good for a one night visit.
Great Location - could use improvement
PeacePropheton 13/10/2016 20:07Facility felt safe, loved the location (close to a lot) and the beds were comfortable. We had private in-suite, with open shower in bathroom, which was okay. We stayed there 5 nights. Great price for the area, especially with breakfast.
Our travel notes:
- We use Hostel kitchens and this one sucked. Very few plates, forks, pots, etc. in a messy kitchen. The fridges were a disaster (nothing marked, so no one knows how old or who owns). Could use a spot for "free to use" dry or fridge goods.
+ Great breakfast included (although same every day)
- Parking is on-your-own, although they say you can use nearby stadium. We did, most nights, without incident... but one morning we went to get our car and gate was locked - with our car inside (there was a game that night). We parked on street thereafter.
+ Helpful/friendly staff (e.g. called the stadium to have them open gate).
Overnight stay
liene_abolon 04/10/2016 12:19I had a very pleasant stay at CIS de Champagne. The accomodation was basic (single room with a shower) yet it was all I needed to have a wonderful nights sleep, the staff was helpful and overall I would come here again. Thank you!
Only there for 4 hours!
CharleyMon 30/08/2016 09:41We arrived at CIS De Champagne at 2am after a very long day of driving from Austria. We had to scour the local streets for a parking space, but found one and the space was free. We had to press a buzzer and very quickly got answered and let in. Check in was very quick which was good considering how late it was, but at no point did we have to prove our identity or show our booking, so not particularly secure. We got one key card between 4 of us, which would have been a problem if we were staying longer. The room itself was very basic. The bathroom needed some serious refurbishment, and the shower included a too short curtain and no shower floor- the floor was the bathroom floor! Bathroom was just clearly very old. The majority of the lights did not work so we struggled to get ready for bed in the near dark. Room was far too hot as the window had been left shut all day. Beds were comfortable and made, although one mattress was randomly shorter than the others. Check out at 6am (4 hours after check in!) Was quick and easy.
