What People are saying

Always a great experience - super friendly staff (Daria Maria from reception)

Sigmundsfreundon 02/08/2017 06:56

I am spending a lot of time meeting people at CitizenM, using the superfast WiFi to get some work done in between meetings. The Staff, especially Daria Maria from reception is always super friendly and welcoming and treats me like a good friend rather than just a random business guy. Daria Maria is especially great in accommodating special needs, i.e. when I happen to come in with large baggage - she will find a way to help me deal with my day to day problems :)

Thanks, all in all a great experience!

Cool, quirky and in a great location

My partner and I stayed here in February for two nights and loved the place.

The lobby blends into the bar and buffet area but each area still feels separate enough. Each area is designed in a cool way, and the self-check ins make life so much easier.

The room we stayed in was quite small, but we spent most of our time sightseeing so it was fine. One entire wall was a giant window to the street outside which made the room feel bigger and we could see some of the London skyline from the bed.

All of the lighting, blinds and temperature in the room are controlled by an iPad in the room, which is really handy, plus there are tons of free movies to watch on the big TV over the bed.

It's a tad pricey, but you get what you pay for, a great location (the Shard to your right and a short walk to nearby Underground stops for the rest of London) and a really nice hotel.

Very different to your normal hotel room

Recently returned from a 3 night stay at the hotel with my wife and son. We chose this particular hotel due to its location and that it appeared to be a bit quirky. It was most certainly in a good spot, and it was definitely different. While the room was quite funky with its gadgets, decor and mood lighting, I was not sure about the position of the shower and toilet. This was in a pod like structure in the bedroom. As I was sharing a room with my wife of 24 years, the noises of her toilet visits, were nothing new to me. However, this may cause an issue depending on how close you are to your traveling companion. The safe was also strangely positioned below the wardrobe area. Access to it was at best by being on your hands and knees. That said, the staff were friendly and helpful, and overall we enjoyed our stay. Maybe management might consider providing complimentary earplugs, as well as the drinks/snacks and toiletries, as they may come in handy!

Always amazing

Since my last review, we have stayed at this hotel a number of times and as a fair amount of time has since passed, I thought I would leave a newer review.

This hotel is still absolutely amazing and is our favourite in London.

We now know the check in process and the staff realise this as soon as we start to check in, but they still stand with us and chat, ask us about our day, why we are down there etc.

The social areas in the hotel are busier every time we go, people really do seem to have embraced the whole ethos of socialising and not sitting in the rooms.

Rooms are still excellent, yes they are still small but everything you need is there. The minibar is now stocked with a variety of drinks and snacks which are included with the room. This is a real bonus.

Please take my advice and book the breakfast, it is lovely, a huge choice of fresh local produce.

We have tried staying in other places, but we always come back to Citizen M!

Great time

We had a great time here - really good location near to galleries, restaurants and old and young vic theatres. Staff really friendly and helpful and bar good place to spend time. Breakfast great and room quirky and good use of space. Would definitely use again.
