Good Craic in the City
Roddy Aon 21/08/2017 11:55The best thing about this hotel is its location. Right in the middle of everything, in fact it is right next door to the busiest night life street in Tilburg. This is great if nightlife is what you are after but would not be so great if you are looking for a quiet time. The hotel itself has basic amenities but comfortable beds, good showers, good breakfast for continental standards and the staff are very accommodating.
Hotel right in the center
Cristian Gon 10/08/2017 15:18It is a nice hotel located on the city center. 20 min walking from the Tilburg Centraal. Is it the middle of the area with restaurants, pubs, cinema and shopping street.
The breakfast was delicious and enough. The receptionist very friendly and helpful.
Good Hotel bad Timing
Tboat1987on 01/08/2017 16:14We stayed here on the last weekend of July. The outside of the hotel isn't the nicest and the lobby area could do with some renovation but the rooms were clean and very comfortable. We were staying there while the carnival was on so it was very noisy outside until around midnight so take care what time of year you are booking. Location is otherwise good, situated on the main square next to restaurants and bars. 10 minute walk from the train station. Staff were very nice.
GEEAT hotel but pricey for festival times
JessycaCelesteon 07/03/2017 09:03The location of this hotel couldn't be more central, right in the thick of it among the bars and restaurants which was perfect for us as we were attending a music festival only a street away at the 013.
We stayed here for four nights, the rooms and communal areas of the hotel were clean and modern and pleasant to be in. We had a really spacious room and we're happy to be staying here for several nights.
The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our trip and we're always checking that we had everything we needed and we're happy.
Free WiFi was available also.
The breakfast included in the price was really varied and delicious, served between 7-10 Mon-Fri and until 11 on Sat and Sun. There was a selection of fresh breads and rolls, various meats, cheeses and spreads. There was also bacon, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, a range of pastries with preserves, pancakes with syrup, yogurts, fruit, cereals and an endless supply of tea, coffee and orange juice!
We noted in some reviews there were complaints about noise but to be honest the hotel is right on the main drag in the centre of Tilburg, what do you expect?! As we were attending a festival it really didn't bother us and the hourly church bells from the beautiful St Joseph's next door was just lovely!
I originally booked on buying our gig tickets last April and the host did warn me that due to the music festival the prices were hiked up. We paid €185 per night which to be honest was a stinger but for convenience and comfort we sucked it up. Other festival goers paid less but we're getting regular taxis between 10-15 minutes drive away from €30-€50 each way so that was how we justified the price.
I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone and funds permitting would stay here again! Thanks for a great trip guys!!!
Good for the money
Vineet Aon 19/09/2016 19:10Normally I stay in Mercure which is across the road but could not reservation this time.
The daily rate is 20pct lower that Mercure. This is more budget style setup. Not many people around to take care, you may not find anyone at reception or breakfast area. Rooms, no coffee or tea, but breakfast area is open always. Room light and ambience ok ok. Internet is better than mercure.
As such nothing really negative that I can point out, for the money paid, it's pretty decent.
