Horrible Place
619mcw83on 13/07/2017 22:20This hotel barely qualifies for one star. The rooms at this establishment are not well kept. There were stains on the walls in my room, (dirt? blood?) the springs in the mattress were broken, there were bugs on the floor, and the fabric lining for the funiture was torn and had stains. Outside the hotel, is one of the busiest areas of Frankfurts red light district. I had no idea a red light district existed in Frankfurt prior to my check in. The entrance for City Hotel West is literally situated between a brothel and a strip club. After 6pm, you cannot walk outside the hotel without being approached by a brothel promoter, a prostitute, and / or drug dealers. I'm not exaggerating that at all. They will physically try to get you inside their building.
The room I was given was only one floor up, right above the outside sidewalk. So, of course, it was very loud from all the people partying. Every time a person walked in or out of the front door, the walls in my room would shake.
I asked the person working at the front desk if I could transfer to a room located in the back of the building, and was told no since I had already gone into my room. I had only been at the hotel for a couple hours, so at that point I decided to end my stay and go to a different place.
I had reserved 2 nights, and kindly asked that I not be charged for the 2nd night. I was literally told "it was my problem" and no refund or credit would be issued.
Booking a room at City Hotel West was obviously a huge mistake, and will forever leave a bad taste with my experience staying in Frankfurt.
Neither the rooms, the hotel, nor the block are suitable for anyone other than those looking to pay for sex or buy drugs. So if that's what your main interest is for visiting Fankfurt, then I suppose this place is for you
Noisy
Sumbul Kon 04/09/2015 15:59Its a hotel near frankfurt main hbf so convenient to go anywhere you want to go even the airport is 10 min away. There are too many restaurants nearby .And if you are muslim its good to hear that too many halal food you can enjoy and grocery stores are available here actually its main in city .About hotel its clean. hotel is ok
BrendoBBBon 28/09/2014 18:44I stayed here for two nights with two friends in a three bed room, it is a budget hotel, I could not fault the the room, it was perfect for us, clean secure basic room with fresh linen and a good shower. Location is very central. it is true there is a girly bar next door but that did not bother us, it is city center after all. The staff were very courteous at all times especially Mr Rassoul. All in all we had a good stay here
Pretty Terrible
TomMichaelaon 11/01/2014 11:03As mentioned in other posts, this hotel is right in the centre of the Red Light District. The bars have people outside who physically try to pull you into their bars.
This particular hotel has two clubs directly either side and the rooms actually sit ontop of the clubs. If you are good for a good night sleep DO NOT star hear. The music lasts until 4am during the week and 7am Fri/Sat/Sun.
The room itself is acceptable, in my experience not dirty, had a nice TV and a good wardrobe.
The hotel staff are distant at best and seem to bang doors and trolleys around from 8am as if the building is empty.
Certainly will keep clear of this hotel in the future and would advise you to do the same!
Terrible by any standard
Dan Mon 15/11/2013 02:32If you read any legitimate review of this hotel, it will be clear that you don't want to stay here.
Please note the pictures posted by people show no happy faces, and those posted by management show no "true" qualities. They cannot show the front entrance because of the sex clubs next door.
Moreover, my personal experience was at checkin, when I was told that my room was unavailable due to water damage (it was prepaid through aavacations.com). I was told to "come back tomorrow" or "call the manager" who was not available. Only one staff person at the desk. I was handed a standard hotel business card with no name. Of course, the "manager" was not available the following day either.
