One night stay before the marathon
Graydon Won 08/08/2017 11:09I was running Gloucester marathon on the Sunday and so booked a single room here on the Saturday night.
Parking, toast/cereal etc, and ensuite facilities included so nothing to complain about here for the price. Rooms, towels etc were all clean and tidy, and the owners friendly and approachable.
The place is an easy stroll into town so ideal for sight seeing, and I'd have no hesitation staying here again if visiting the city.

Good value and continental brekkie included
Christine Hon 28/06/2017 15:24It was fine for one night. Twin room had one proper bed and one fold up bed, which was not terribly comfortable. Nice to have soap and shower gel provided. Brekkie was great - just what we needed. Wifi code was unfathomable and I gave up after several attempts, which was frustrating.
Disappointed /tired

However had no sleep due to people walking around and making noise till early hours.
The area itself didn't seem safe and there was large gatherings next door.
The rooms were very basic and there is much refurbishment needed.
clean and convenient low-cost hotel with very thin walls
Michael Ron 28/05/2017 21:34we needed a room in Gloucester for a one-night stop-over. This guest house did the job, we had a nice enough and clean room in walkable distance to the old quays and docks and city centre. We were a bit concerned at first how things would work with no staff present, but all guests behaved themselves and the self-service kitchen cum breakfast room was quite handy and well-equipped. Our only problem was that all noises from the kitchen and staircase seemed to reverberate to our room. Also, we could hear literally every single word from our room neighbours through the wall. Summing up, with some sort of noise dampening this would be a perfect stay for people who just want a room to sleep for the night.
