Fantastic location to be with family for a totally relaxing vacation. You feel as if you are touching the clouds. Munnar generally is a great location with many waterfalls, tea, coffee and spice gardens. Good food, entertainment and a lot of fun. Enjoy

Excellent location to stay in at Munnar

I went to Munnar with my family, Children and grand children for 3D/2N. We drove from Fort Kochi and had a members booking.As it is some 27 kms beyond Munnar, WE reached at 3.40 and when we landed at the resort, we were asked to drive and park near the allocated blocks which are at some elevation on a very narrow slope. They do not have valet parkino, . The road is so narrow that two vehicles from opposite directions can not pass easily.
We reached the rooms and find that the rooms are not ready. Also, since it was beyond 3.30 pm, no Lunch was available. We ate whatever was available for day and night snacks at quite a high cost. Since Kitchen is at a much lower level, the staff are very reluctant to come up quickly.
However, beyond these hiccups, The stay was terrific and hospitality very good. Living and lifestyle is a bit costly though. Buffet is an awsome spread with just above quality of food. Vegetarian fare is excellent but Non Veg dishes can be improved. View is just terrific. We enjoyed the stay.

Theifs with plain clothes. Pathetic services at this resort. Rooms have a work out look. Bathrooms look old and are not well lit. Leakage in bathroom , room had a stinking and a musty smell as it would have been closed for a very long and opened only for me to check in. I had checked in very late on 21st as the route from Cochin was blocked as a tree had fallen on the highway. Driver brought us there by some different route so we reached at around 8.00 pm.  At check-in counter I was sent to a room in main block itself but it had no view so I asked for a change, I was given a new room with a view but I guess it was not cleaned properly as I am severely allergic to dust .  For first an hour it was ok  but my allergy tiggered by midnight enormously, I kept sneezing the whole night. Sneezing was there till the time I was in room but as soon as I was out of the room I use to be fine, so I went down front office and requested the executive that my room should be changed next morning , front office executive was a good person confirmed that he assures it will happen next morning. So I lost my sleep that night after a appoximately 12 hrs long journey from Delhi. The room had faucet which had rusted pipe water was leaking from the same, next to WC. The room interior we're work out specially the bathroom. Yes but this room had a microwave oven.  

Next morning I went for buffet breakfast at the restaurant tea room. Spread looked ok so I and my wife decided to go for the buffet. I being a chef looked very minutely at the buffet . Egg counter chef was in a rush old non-stick pan which were looking not even cleaned with thick layer of carbon on top of them. Egg counter chef was not even using gloved to put the vegetable in egg not a spoon which was there but instead he was using his ✋ hands for putting vegetables. On other hand if I Rightly remember there was a standee at the main lobby which says ecoli and hygiene are concerns if you eat outside food in Kerala on other side in their very own restaurant hand  were being used to put the vegetables. God knows how they would be cooking in back kitchen. Dosa counter chef says to wait at the counter only till the dosa is ready as there is no service boy to send it to my table. So I had to carry two plate in my hand at a time a I had already taken some food in my ate while giving order for dosa.

Replenishment of the buffet breakfast big issue I remember had to wait for at least 10 mins for juice glasses. Food which was being replenish I remember the stewards by his looks was a trainee definitely replenished with bare hand as the tong was missing. On letting him know of the same he rushed to get a tong . Fruits replenishment big issues style of cut and way of cutting the same could tell you that it was done by someone inexperienced person. Papaya totally over ripe not good quality same with banana, idli was so hard that I can't tell. Coconut chutney pathetic more or Dal less coconut pathetic taste other chutney we're good. 

Dosa no colour white dosa either batter or hotplate something was wrong secondly I asked for gunpowder to be sprinkled on my dosa not there I guess not available in south India as per chef at site. I had asked for a ginger tea what I get is a plain normal tea not ginger flavour nothing I had asked steward Surya for the same. So on and so forth I can keep on writing.

Prices of food are so high but the quality of food on buffet is pathetic.

Only good thing about the resort is the view.

I would highly recommend everyone not to take there membership as the sales people fool u and u will fell in their trap in.

Beware beware beware that what I can say highly recommend not to take their membership very unprofessional service to the amount of money charged.

club mahindra munnar needs to spruce up as it is no more the CROWN PROPERTY which it used to be......the rooms needs to be updated whether it is the door and the latest card key system, also the furniture, upholstery, cutains , bathrooms....everything needs to be updated.
Also there is strong stench of the septic tanks just in the area outside the reception which is so putting off and which is just next to the dinning area. something definitely needs to be done about it too.

My Stay at club mahindra munnar was a surprise one. I really enjoyed the stay,as my room was a wooden cottage with a nice view to the tea gardens. The morning fresh air and rain enhance the beauty with mist covered mountains. The cottage and the amenities are upto the mark and kept clean and tidy.

Buffet dinner and breakfast are very tasty and fresh. And all the staffs are doing well their jobs. Extremely thanks for the wonderfull stay.
