The property- though old was maintained neatly.Cleaned & cozy rooms. You can see Malabar Monkeys & Malabar squirrels inside the resorts...so many jackfruits also.Kids will love to play with so many new friends in funzone.Although spa is expensive but you can get relaxed.Sightseeing- Periyar lake with boat ride, Night jungle scout/trek, tiger trails. All these can be booked at Kerala tourism office which is in a walkable distance.Small place but very cozy..so you should definitely visit Thekkady once in a lifetime.

Memorable holiday in Thekkady

kuriyans52on 29/08/2017 10:16

A well maintained and scenic resort,Food served is of excellent quality but need to increase the variety,. Resort gives a good feel of staying between the forest with all modern amenities and facilities. There are good sightseeing options in and around Thekkady which is ideal for 2-3 days visit . The staff is courteous and hospitable.. Dont miss the Kathakali and martial arts show that take place every evening in a an auditorium about half km from the resort

Thekkadey hotel Β - room no 703Β

Good room when we entered at first sight, had reached thekkadey around 3.30 am so just kept our luggage in room and rushed for boat sight seeing at periyar river. Evening when I came back room had a very low lux (light measuring unit) level believe me my eyes started hurting as I am used to good lux levels. Secondly the bathroom had worms as it was late in night did not want a room change so did not raise it to anyone that time and I was there for only one night. I killed four five of them myself roaming around Wc closet scary though. Mosquito also a concern but at least mosquito repellent was there so we slept. Breakfast the very next day I had buffet again it had the se story as munnar, quality even more worse at site chef was egg did not understand Hindi nor English how to communicate with a person he should have been in back kitchen and someone who knows English should have been there. Very limited spread and choice for north Indians hardly there. Dosa Β again an issue as I like my dosa with gun powder or podi both not there again colour on dosa missing here also ask for change but got a little better dosa but not crispy enough. At site boy here also not using any spoons or gloves. Looked like it's a trend at club Mahindra.

I had better expectations from club Mahindra , will never suggest any one to take there membership. Only good thing is the location of resort.

Monsoon Magic

Kamal Lon 20/08/2017 17:27

As a CM member we book holidays every year. This time our destination was at Thekkady. We travelled as 5 families( 11 Adults & 3 kids). We climbed the hill and reached the resort. There was a sudden change in climate from hot to cold. The checkin process was smooth as usual. The property-
though old was maintained neatly. Comparing the other hill station property of CM in south, this one is small in area. But the rooms are well placed. The property is maintained clean. Since it was monsoon it was raining, which was pleasant. (I am a rain lover)
Actually there is no much activities inside.
Funzone..Are u kididng me? With damaged pool & TT tables. They made a make shift play area which was leaking with rain water. Was stinking too.Definitely, the management has to look into this.
Food-
They charge like other CM restaurants but with a limited items in the menu. Either increase the quantity or decrease the price. Definitely not worth.
POOL-
Ice cold water with a small waterfall. πŸ‘ŒπŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ
(Some people suggests a temp control pool)
There are many variety of trees inside which attracts many species of birds. If any bird lovers there..they will have a nice time. Also v can see monkeys jumping around, so keep ur things safe. πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’

Sightseeing-
Periyar lake with boat ride, Night jungle scout/trek, tiger trails. All these can be booked at Kerala tourism office which is in a walkable distance. Also u can go for an organised off roading with jeep to nearby mountains for the extra adrenaline rush.

Take a break. Book a room. Sit in the balcony watching the mountains, enjoy the rain and climate with a sip of coffee. It will definitely de-stress you. Come back with loaded energy.

Bad Experiences at Club Mahindra

RMKulkarnion 15/08/2017 07:21

Noisy rooms,Bad services, no value for money.

We were supposed to stay at the resort for 4 nights but cut short our visit to just two nights.

Except nice location of resort right in the town the other experience was really pathetic.

Unavailability is always the issue. All hollow promises while selling memberships in reality the membership is suitable for only retired people who can travel in off seasons.

Rooms are not maintained well, quality of bathrooms so so.. most importantly staff is not supportive and caring.

We really regret having this red season membership which is not suitable even in white season.
