Dave Gon 08/03/2016 07:16It seems impossible that this lovely , friendly hotel in such a beautiful and peaceful part of the World is now closed.
The hotel was so full of life and the staff so wonderful. The entertainment was first class and the food fresh and plentiful. The surrounding shops and businesses thriving and value for money.
My thoughts and heart is with the wonderful Tunisian people that I met last year and I hope for happier Days ahead.
Not that impressed.
Amy Aon 29/02/2016 10:42My boyfriend and I went for our first holiday abroad back in June 2015. It was cheap and we went for two weeks but it was not what we expected for a 4 star hotel.
Pros:
-Cheap
-Lovely grounds
-Large rooms
-The entertainment crew worked so hard to please everyone, even if it was a bit too much at times. The number of languages they spoke was truly amazing.
-Upon arrival it was organised
-Lots of activity's to do (even though they were a bit naff)
Cons:
-Unhelpful staff
-There are locals trying to win over your business walking around the hotel. One person tried to bully us into going quad biking with him (as our holiday insurance only covered going with Thompson we went with them instead) after we had turned him down after he badgered us for days he turned quite hostile towards us. At some points we were actually scared of seeing this man. We gave him 10 diners as goodwill and did not receive a thank you.
-You have to tip to get service.
-The men can be quite rude to the women but I believe that it due to the culture.
-Racist entertainment
-Rude receptionist.
-Food the SAME every day for the 14 days - gave us bad tummy's and made me sick.
-The alcohol is very watery
-Nothing to do around the hotel apart from go to a couple shops that sell the same thing.
-Seaweed beaches.
It was a nice experience, the weather was also nice too. We wanted two weeks of relaxation but instead it was the same thing/ same routine every day and the entertainment team are a bit too much at times. The people made me feel very uncomfortable, and had me in tears the first day of the holiday because of how rude they were to me. I read the reviews beforehand and took them with a pinch of salt however I wasn't pleasantly surprised.
We will not be returning.
June 2015
woowoo60on 23/10/2015 21:33This was our 3rd time at this hotel...great room and great service..
Good food as usual...it can do with updating the desert side tho..
We shall miss going next year but off to Mexico..we will return when the unrest has been sorted as we were unable to go as Thomson cancelled all flights when we wanted to re-book again for 2016
Poor
David Pon 23/10/2015 13:00You look at a brochure and you think that looks good. You look at the reviews and think this has possibilties. Its a fairly new destination so as it was cheap I thought i would try it.
Photos and reviews can be deceptive. The hotel itself was clean and most staff polite. Food was not good and very repeatative. A few bugs around the room, beach ok but to get into the see you have to go over rocks. Alot of building work in the area and open ground just rubbish dumps.
Would I go again, maybe in 10 years but not before
