psthampion 28/08/2017 08:16Stayed at this property from 24 th aug to 27th aug. very beautiful and serene place. Best get away from the crowd. one can sit back on the benches and enjoy the beautiful vembanad lake in front of you. Cool breeze touching your face while you forget the world. this is a friendly resort with a smiling staff . Food is par excellence , if you have forgotten the ulli theyal made by your mother.
Mr. Shambu, the DGM comes and talks to the guests, Vandana is another manager who will see that you are comfortable. Naveen the Chef is brilliant, his puttu kadala curry, inchi thairu , fish moly are worth mentioning .Overall a very good experience.

They have private pools in each room villa , they offer a lot of free of charge services that are amazing like birds natural sights seeing, free Indian cuisine class, sari dressing , yoga classes in the morning and evening and many others
Mr Jay Navid is a very open and great simple yogi that we met during the meditation session during sunset
I would recommend this more for couples and or if you really want to disconnect sometimes ... this would be the best option
You will have to take little boat to the resort that is part of the hotel service
It's very clean and Very friendly staff

Siggyminton 19/08/2017 13:54To arrive by boat along a canal to the reception, greeted by traditional drummer and flowers and bindi , very Bondesque, stunning setting among palm trees and mini canals, views over the lake are worth the walk over small connecting bridges, do visit the butterfly garden and keep an eye out for the rare Kerala cows kept on site. an evening cruise to watch the sunset from the lake is wonderful, the staff are very attentive and helpful, and the restaurant is very well run the food is first class. The rooms are traditional style with modern facilities plus outside enclosed,courtyard bathroom quirky but fun. My only wish is that I should have stayed longer.

spavitraon 17/08/2017 07:30Different experience as this was our first stay in Backwater Resort. Since we visited during monsoon could not enjoy much. But definitely it is worth staying once.
CGH maintains its standards. Though the place is isolated, the resort keeps it alive.
Stay, food, Service was good.
Overall, Satisfied.
Beautiful resort by the lake
writeonthespoton 17/08/2017 05:06The Coconut Lagoon is a beautiful property. The villas have spacious and wonderful rooms. The toilet and bath opens to the outdoor. The resort is eco-friendly and has many heritage qualities. Food is great at the buffet. There are many things to see and do, including communing with nature or walking by rice paddies.
