As much as it costs to stay here, you'd think this hotel would cater more to the tourists on which it relies. No breakfast offered. Pool closes when dark, rather than the hotel putting out a bit more for lights for tired tourists who want to relax. Wifi goes off and on and is, then, weak. I heard someone else complaining in the lobby about all the spiders in his room. One of the mattresses was excellent in our room; the other was atrocious.

A Perfect Nights Sleep

We were so lucky to find the Cody Legacy Inn. We had booked another place but they had somehow filled our room even though we had a reservation in hand. We had driven many hours and needed a good nights rest so when the manager of the recommended the Cody Legacy Inn we were not optimistic. We drove back through town to find the perfect "Legacy".

The staff was terrific at all times of the day! The room was spotless and the Inn was soooo quiet!!! The bed was perfect, the room smelled fresh, and we had a glorious nights sleep.

I would have liked a breakfast but we were fortified with their good hot coffee we could not have asked for anything more.

The bed was a much better quality than you often find even in well know "name" hotels. There was no elevator noise and because it is a bit outside of town the quiet is divine for those who are light sleepers.

Don't hesitate to book this great little gem. I only rated this as a 4 because there was no breakfast food. Perhaps a fruit bowl or snack breakfast bar would help. Get weary travelers on their way. However, The room, bed, staff, restaurant recommendations and the quiet location all make for a great nights sleep.

Very nice hotel. Excellent service. Great rooms with a nice pool. I love their makeup wipes. Will be back. Peaceful and across from McDonalds. Wished they served breakfast... great coffee bar. Nice lob cabin feel.

Beautiful Place

This place was a great find when looking for a nice place with a few amenities without overpaying. This is not the cheapest place, go to an motel for that, but it is not the most expensive as many other places are in Cody. The Cody Legacy Inn is on the east side of town on 14 when traveling. The hotel staff are awesome. Pool has a privacy fence and is outdoor near the laundry facilities and hot tub. This allows you to relax while you do quick load of laundry.

I happened to request a few personal touches for the kids in the room and they did a great job with that surprise for the kids!

There is wifi, coffee, teas, books, and a small lounge to relax in.

There is a grocery store within walking distance and fast food nearby. The drive to the main strip is about 5 minutes. So a perfect spot that is close to town, yet away from all the hustle.

We stayed 2 nights while in Cody. Everyone at this motel was smiling and helpful. Hotel is all non smoking for those who look for that amenity . The rooms a clean and comfortable. The decor is rustic, fits into the town history. A little out of Cody proper, but only a short drive to downtown, Cody museum and other sights. A bus will pick you up there for the Cody rodeo. Has laundry facilities, workout room and beautiful clean pool. Coffee, teas and other beverages are in lobby. Wood burning fireplace for cozy winter nights. Pricey, but no more than any other in Cody, Worth the money for us. One highway to South Dakota right our front.

We then stayed again when we returned from South Dakota. Would definitely stay again.
