Awesome space inside! Another great example of modern religious architecture in Columbus. This stop is the first on the bus tour and sufficient time is allotted for an inside look and tour.

The first modern church in America

Part of Columbus's architectural history. This modern building was the first commissioned by Mr. Miller and it was the start of the design challenge of this little town. Beautiful church inside, but note the uncrossed sections of the doors and the off center position of the clock on the tower. A site on the National Historic Landmark list. A must see if you are taking this walking tour.

It was hard for me to believe that this church was built in the late 30's. It is so modern and contemporary. The church is full of light and it is very simple. The high ceiling draws us toward heaven. An interesting place.

Amazing architectural site

This is a wonderful example of modernist architecture and since it's the focal point and beginning of the architectural sites of the city, I won't go into detail but our visit during the architectural tour was well worth it. Nothing like the gothic cathedrals of Europe but amazing none the less.

Great as part of walking architecture tour

Visited this church as part of a walking architecture tour. It was within walking distance of the visitors center and across the street from the library. A great way to start out the tour. The library was built after the church but took some design cues from the church. Also nearby is the lovely Irwin home and gardens.
