Another Comfortable Stay
ADCollieron 14/06/2017 00:09This facility has become our default choice when visiting relatives in the area. Always a clean, comfortable, and quiet room and friendly, helpful staff. This trip it was Charity at the Front Desk and Lora the breakfast attendant who provided the great service. As always, the breakfast was a treat with lots of hot or cold choices to satisfy any craving.
Law school graduation

The rooms were fairly clean, although my daughters room smelled of urine and when she complained they were told a family of 5 stayed there for a month and dirty diapers were all over ... they did move them but her clothes for the graduation all smelled of urine.. they should have been comped for the room... grundy va is just a small coal mining town that happens to have a law school there.
Comfortable beds, great towels, clean and good water pressure

The staff could not have been nicer. They had their eye on everything going on. The room cleaning staff moved quickly but with practiced assurance cleaning our room. Fresh pillow cases each day and clean towels.
Our room was right by the elevator but was so quiet.
The breakfast bar was well stocked and refills kept coming out. It looked like hot foods were replenished every 10 minutes during peak time. Everything used to display the food was sparkling clean. The friendly lady who ran the breakfast service never stopped moving and carried on friendly chatter with her customers. Food items never ran out.
The decor may be a bit dated but this hotel does it all right. You won't go wrong staying here.
We were in for three nights for the law school graduation and the hotel was full. If you are going for a graduation reserve your room in February or you might be sorry.

David Mon 17/04/2017 16:04Nice facility in downtown Grundy. The staff is very nice and provide excellent service. Their recommendations for dinner was great! Very knowledgeable staff. The hotel manager is very polite and courteous. She inspires in her staff to make guests feel at home. She is always smiling. The lady which coordinates the breakfast is very attentive and the food was very good. The cheese omelets were very good. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend this facility when in Grundy, VA.
