Business trip. Stay was ok.
Daniel Gon 28/07/2017 20:25Stayed here while on business in Camden. The hotel lobby is nice. Looks recently renovated and modern. There is plenty of seating in both the lobby and the breakfast area. I stayed in a suite on the third floor. The room was ok but not great. There was an odd wall cutting into the room and the tv in this area didn't work. The picture would come on but the sound would not. It only gave a clicking sound on all the channels. The TV in the bedroom area was ok. Either the TVs in the room are not HD or the cable channels are not (or both). The picture was not really sharp and it took a while to flip between channels. No channel guide. They need an upgrade. The air conditioning worked really well. So well that I had to wake up in the middle of the night to turn the temperature up it got so cold. One tip, if your room is really humid you can set the AC to "Dry" and it should remove the humidity from the room and cool at the same time. There are extra blankets and a pillow in the table the TV is sitting on if needed.
The bathroom was nice and looked renovated. There was a drip in the sink that looked like it was starting to rust the stopper. I did like the smell of the soaps and hair products that they provided in the room. The shower temp and pressure was good.
Breakfast was included but was not good. Both days there were scrambled eggs but they were sitting in water and did not have much flavor. I didn't try the sausage patties or the sausage gravy and biscuits. There was a waffle machine, cold cereal, and the usual breads, bagels, muffins, and yogurt. Nothing to write home about. The coffee was also not very good.
This location is near downtown Camden and has easy access to the freeway. Staff didn't speak to us much other than check-in even if we were sitting in the lobby. Ok but not great hotel stay.
Basic Motel
Piglet-CWon 18/07/2017 23:44This location is your basic motel with easy interstate access. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, though the space seemed cramped with the furnishings and king size bed. I also found the vanity in the bathroom to a be bit high for my liking. There was one clerk at check in who never got up from her seat and was really perfunctory. Not the most welcoming of people. When I checked out there was no one at the desk, but there were two employees outside, neither of whom said a word to me as I came out, loaded my car, and left. If I am in this area again I may opt for a different place to stay based on the attitude of the employees. They need some customer service training!
Basic Interstate Motel - Nothing More
Edward Pon 15/05/2017 01:42Arrived on a Sunday evening to find one front desk person struggling to process a discount coupon that a couple in front of me was attempting to use. After 15 minutes of waiting I was greeted by a kind but overwhelmed employee and my check-in was uneventful. My room however was unlocked and open. It either had another guest already there or the room was not cleaned by housekeeping. Went back to front desk and the staff member was again kind and apologetic and gave me another room. The new room had a wet musty smell and had not been vacuumed. I will not stay at this hotel again. Comfort Inn corporate needs to do a spot inspection at this property - it is worn, tired, and overall not up to standards.
Comfortable and Clean
Maegan Fon 08/05/2017 01:09The hotel and room were clean. It's your typical basic hotel. I had a room with a king bed, which was very comfortable. The AC worked well, room was very cold. Location was right off hotel, next to a cafe and gas station. The road it's on leads right into historic Camden.
Loved it here!
KristyMcCullerson 10/04/2017 13:57Nice place - from front door to leaving. Nice people - clean - plenty of room and amenties. Will stay here again when I travel to Camden. Lady at front desk was helpful with decided dinner options. I recommend.
