Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Upon arrival we found the hot tub to be out of order, after informing the clerk ii was repaired within an hour. Nothing fancy about about the place but if you want a room that's larger then most hotels this is the place to stay.

I have stayed here several times over the years and it seems to get better and better. Rooms are so clean down to the carpets! That is very rare to feel you can actually go without your slippers.

The only criticism I would offer is the following. The hotel shows signs touting their clean air policy which inside the hotel certainly feels appropriate. My suggestion would be to move the benches right outside the entry doors. The benches encourage the smokers to stand RIGHT at the front doors. It's a bit ironic having to first walk through the cloud of cig smoke to get to the clean air room don't you think?

I have a group of friends that take over night Motorcycle trips several times a year. Some are for more than a week long! One of us finds a hotel holds rooms for the night we plan to be in the area and the rest of us call and place one room in our name. This has worked well for years. We did that here. I called a couple of weeks ahead to change a room into my name. When we arrived. It seemed like a nice place, even met the owner. I checked in using the same name and cc number as our resavation. We checked in on the date we reserved but later the next day I was emailed a no-show fee and billed again for the room. I did not think much of this because we had not even checked out yet. Open arriving home I checked my cc statement online. To my surprise I did see two charges on my cc for the same night and one was higher then the receipt that I had. I called the hotel thinking it was a mistake and was told that I was a no-show and that was their policy. When asked about it they could not explain that if I no showed how come they billed me for the night and gave me a receipt for the same day? The lady said to call her back and she would talk to the manager. I called back and the manager said that he would TRY and credit me back for the room but because I no showed they would still charge the fee! I told them that I did stay there and paid for my room and nothing but all my money back would be ok. He said he would check into it and call me right back and asked if he had the right phone number. After all they had it my cc info and email from the confirmation I was sent when I booked it. It has been 5 days and no call. My cc company is taking over, flagging them so I should be getting my money back soon. After talking to others of us this same thing happened to them. I wonder if they run this scam all the time. Just wondering.

We ended up here when the rain caused us to stop a few hours early. Very nice clean room, fluffy towels and excellent shower. Pool is large enough to really get some exercise and the hot tub/spa was very nice. They let use park our motorcycles under cover and that was nice of them. Walking distance to Burger King, Wendy's, and Domino's.
And for the first time in a long time I am in a Choice Hotels place and the Internet actually works.

Business trip

My company booked this hotel for my stay here in town after the Marriott in Kingsport was sold out due to the big race in town! 1st I'll say this is a very small town with limited things to do… there are many fast food places nearby like BK and a few others about 5 minutes down the road. I was able to check in early after driving 6 hrs to get here, room was clean and the hotel seem to be well maintained. Staff seems friendly and professional.
