New year's night.

I stayed for two days in Comfort Inn with my son to meet New Year at Stone Mountain Park, we check in 12/30/16 at 7:30 pm the girl at the front desk was very friendly and polite. Our room was 318, when we entered the room it was cold and I decided to turn on the heater but the buttons on the A/C were broken (( when I went into the bathroom in socks I stepped into a puddle of water turned the toilet loose and was leaking because of this. Changed our room for 316, in this room the toilet was loose too, but thank God it did not leak)) The room is all old but very clean! Curtains on the window do not close completely design and it's not entirely convenient. I was afraid that on New Year's Eve it would be very noisy but it turned out to be very quiet and spastic! The next day, housekeeping was friendly and was ready to help in everything, thank you! The breakfast is nice and hearty and the pool is just super warm and clean, we swam for two evenings and did not want to leave. The price of the room was $ 129, which is not bad for a New Year's Eve. Thanks to the housekeeping, the front desk and the woman from India for a delicious breakfast.

This was a great place compared to the night before. The showers were sparkling and rooms so clean I didn't feel like I had to keep my shoes on. I liked that we had a choice of firm or soft pillows. Breakfast was decent. Even though we were right off highway 78 we were on back side and had no traffic noises.

Poor Choice for Comfort

Normally, any time that I have stayed at a Comfort Inn, I have received good quality service, a comfortable stay, and hospitable staff. This IS NOT the case with Comfort Inn in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The lady that checked us in was very nice, polite and efficient, but it, went down hill from there. When we entered our room, the first thing that caught our attention was a musty smell. Secondly, we received no service to our room until we had been there for four days, our trash, was over flowing, and we DID NOT have a DO NOT Disturb sign on the door. We even made a point to tell house keeping that we would be gone for the day and would like our room cleaned to no avail. We had to request clean towels and wash cloths daily. When my wife entered the dining room our first day for breakfast, she was approached rudely by a staff member demanding to know why she was in there. After showing the woman her room key, that she was a guest, she was like oh, ok, no apology whatsoever. The wifi was TERRIBLE and did not work. We talked to the manager and complained about our lack of room service and he, very haughtily said that his computer stated that we requested no service. When he was told that this was not the case, he was still very indifferent and made no effort to make things right. I will never, ever, stay at this Comfort Inn again and strongly recommend that people stay away from this rat trap of a motel.

We arrived 10pm and the lobby and restaurant area was filled to capacity with adults and kids. They were all over the furniture and floor you hardly had enough space to check in. Check in was only a matter of minutes, room was clean, neat, and comfortable. There was a lot on noise in the hotel this trip so will inquire next time if they are expecting some sort of kids function.

Somewhere to sleep, then leave.

Room clean. Long check in, over 20 minutes. Breakfast, but fresh fruit would have been nice. In today's "coffee world", more than standard coffee and sugar packets/ plain creamer would have been nice.
