Nice hotel and MOK train nearby
Dana Oon 18/06/2017 02:43We came into town to ride the dinner train and needed a nearby hotel. This one was really close by. I got the room with a whirlpool tub, it was odd in that the tub sits in the same room as the beds and TV. The bed was comfortable and there was a fridge and microwave.
Worst Comfort Inn in the Country
Patti Don 12/06/2017 21:05We have been staying in this hotel for at least eight years and in those eight years we have watched it go totally down hill. It is no longer being maintained to the standards of Choice Hotel Standards and needs to be reclassified on a much lower scale such as an Economy Inn. This hotel is not being maintained by the owners and I know that they know how to maintain things because they a luxury car that is always maintained and in the best condition. The towels in this hotel are so thin that I have cleaning rags thicker and better than their bath towels. Window Screens are dirty as is the carpet and the lighting with in the rooms would be better if they just gave you a candle and let you find your way with the candle. This was at one time an excellent hotel but without
proper maintainance it has gone down hill and basically has it the bottom in my opinion.
Great Hotel
Tim Pon 11/06/2017 03:30This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. It is clean, comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. It is conveniently located.
The only knock I can give it is that the included breakfast is not very good. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Disappointing
Maghan Bon 10/06/2017 20:15We were in town for an event at the Kentucky Railway Museum. We booked our room online because we saw that they had an indoor pool, which we thought would be nice for our two toddlers to enjoy. When we arrived to check in, we were told at the front desk that they do not allow children 3 and under in the pool area at all, even with supervision. This information wasn't listed anywhere on the website The lady at the desk was friendly and cancelled our reservation without charging a fee. However, all of the other hotels in the area with indoor pools were already booked. Extremely inconvenient. I wouldn't consider this a "family friendly" hotel and hate that we had to drive to another town to enjoy amenities that should be accessible to ALL guests.
Last minute stop
Jeff Pon 31/05/2017 22:56We were driving late afternoon and decided to stay for the nite and continue our trip the next day. They were able to accomadate us and at a good price for a last minute stay. Clerk was very nice didn't get to have breakfast but it looked like it would have been good. A little hard to find the driveway to get in but nice place
