What People are saying

A very congenial and well run inn

Thaud .on 04/07/2017 21:35

We were on our way from Boston to Rockport, Maine for a photo workshop. We planned an overnight stop for Lobster Dinner and some local touring in Brunswick. We chose the Comfort Inn because it is on Route 1, is close to town and close to the harbor. The staff is very friendly. We were given directions to Joshua's Tavern five minutes away and we had a great lobster dinner. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The wifi worked well. A nice bathroom with tub shower combination. Air conditioning but even better windows that opened. A desk and desk chair. Good breakfast with the usual choices. There was a bus tour staying at the inn so breakfast was a bit crowded. As soon as the bus left we were quiet. Easy parking. A very good value for a reasonable price. I recommend it as a five star for its purpose. One really nice touch. There were two bottles of water complimentary in the room and a mini fridge. I've stayed in many five star hotels that wouldn't give you a free bottle of water ever. Bravo for comfort inn.

functional and spacious

Spacious clean room w/ functional layout. Décor was somewhat dated. We had room on a second floor so we did not experience any noise or privacy issues other people were complaining about. OK breakfast – they had bagels, hard-boiled eggs and good yogurt. Definitely would stay there again.

Fair place to stay in Brunswick, ME

Eugene Fon 25/06/2017 02:45

The hotel is somewhat clean and the service staff does a fair job.
The negatives is the second floor floors does not have good insulation so the sounds are heard on the first floor rooms. Every step, noise. One night we had people above us that was walking back and forth all night making sleeping very difficult. We complained to front desk 4-times but the noise did not stopped until around 1am. The internet kept going out throughout our 4-day say at this hotel which was very annoying to say the least.
Our toilet was very loose and rocked back and forth. The shower/tub had soap film that was never cleaned through out our stay. We also found a very large spider that we had to kill.
I feel strongly that travelers should not have to tell the hotel what's wrong with the room. This place obviously has poor supervision on its cleaning staff.
We certainly will have to look at our options before considering staying here again.

okay hotel, no privacy if you have rooms on first floor facing parking lot

TRAVELFREAKONEon 26/05/2017 13:57

Clean room. Complimentary water and candy. Stoic front desk staff. Room in back faced parking lot and people walking by continuously looking into room. Had to keep curtains closed the entire time to have privacy. Breakfast okay. Beds not the most comfortable. Thin walls - could hear people walking about throughout night as we tried to sleep.

Not bad; not great

CharlesDon1234on 23/05/2017 14:29

The room we reserved wasn't available when we checked in, so they had to put us in a different room with two queen bed instead of one. Which my wife and I only needed one. The woman at the front desk seemed to be in a bad mood, but the room was nice and the breakfast the next morning was pretty "picky eater" friendly.
