A true slice of authenticity
Fiona Don 15/09/2015 16:33Fantastic experience - great hosts and a really genuine experience. Huge room with a view directly out onto the square. Lovely food and the restaurant next door is an excellent alternative.
We enjoyed having the room at the front and sitting watching the daily life of the village and the market - not everyone would like this a perhaps noisier.. The night time weather wasn't good when we were there, so not a problem.
Lovely big clean rooms with character
Estes08on 13/08/2015 13:28The hotel is in a great central location. Our room was on the front with a balcony overlooking the square. The room was big and clean with plenty of character, wooden floors and a fire place. Wifi in the room was fast and reliable. Staff were friendly and efficient. We only stayed one night but we will definitely be back.
An excellent hotel, lovely rooms, friendly hosts
Ben Non 07/08/2015 12:09We stayed here 3 nights before a hiking trip. It is an great place, a very pleasant old building. The rooms have wooden floors, lots of character, and are tastefully decorated. We ate in the restaurant, it was delicious. Breakfast was good also.
Only slight negative was noise from the terrasse and from people playing boules in the park opposite. This was not excessive but might trouble some people, particularly when the weather is hot and you want to leave the window open. Ask for a room at the back.
Lovely atmospheric traditional hotel/ eatery
John Hon 13/11/2014 17:21Seix is far from the madding crowd, a delight where you can watch the trout in the river below, or the soaring pyrenees above. Large quaint but comfortable rooms, with generous sizes. Good homecooked food w local ingredients. I was fed up with euro clone boring, tasteless & colourless hotels.
This is a gem. BTW, don't forget the fantastic local cheese! Deli just over the bridge, 100 metres!
Great food, good service, English speaking
Bruce Gon 23/09/2014 15:12After 3 weeks of very average French cuisine we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. Salad Marina was magnificent with pan fried herb crusted scallops and giant prawns. Lamb with maple syrup sauce was pink and tender and the rump steak with salad was very tasty, tender and filling. Don't forget a side serve of pomme paysans, delicious golden brown discs of potato fries in such fat, heavenly! And the desserts were all good, followed by excellent coffee. We went there 2 days running and it was always busy, always a good sign. Our waitress spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful, courteous and attentive.
