I hate to give it a low rating because the ladies at the front are so friendly and try so hard to make sure the guests are taken care of. But the owners of this hotel need to get with it on the renovating and upkeep of this hotel. Destroy those chairs in the breakfast area. Nobody wants to come down for breakfast and sit on chairs that are so stained that you can't really even see the color of the chairs! Seriously. When we first drove up, I thought did they move because this looks like an abandoned hotel.

What you owners are conveying to me as a traveler is 'just take their money'. And then you leave those employees to deal with it. Shame on you!

Two pluses - beds and pillows were comfy and the lemon water (which the employee took upon herself to provide for the guests) was delicious.

I booked this hotel because it is the #2 hotel in Clarksdale. What a mistake. I don't know what kind of standards the other reviewers have, but this room was a dirty nightmare. The smell was a mixture of wet dog, cigarettes and dirty socks. There was mold and filth in the bathroom. The outlet covers were either missing or half off. The room had the lighting of a mushroom farm. The sheets were full of pills and some unknown substance resembling hair. The "security" of the backdoor consists of a sign stating that the door will be locked ... but it isn't. Anyone can enter without a key! The ice machine was broken. The carpet was was sticky and really worn out. I had to wear sandals in the room. I should have taken pause when the website stated "HOTEL ALERTS: Our hotel has the rights to refuse service to guests that reside within 50 miles of the property. Exceptions will be made for emergencies on a case by case basis." Stay far, far from this place. The only good thing is the sweet lady at the front desk.

Good stay I would go back

Greeted by friendly staff and cold lemon water. Room and bathroom were clean. I was on the first floor. All rooms overlook a parking lot or a highway. So I don't think it matters on what you you are in. Room was clean and did not have any odors. A 10 minute drive to downtown clarksdale. Breakfast was above the margin for a choice hotel. Hot make your own waffles,eggs (not so good) sausage, cereals,fruit,yogurt,bagels,breads,toaster,Danish. We wanted to take our blues trip in budget hotels and this one was above the industry average.

We wouldn't have stayed if we didn't know the pool wasn't open yet. The stairwell smelled like it had just been flooded and the handle was broken. The chair/ottoman set in the room had nasty stains all over it. There were long hairs on the pillowcases. I ran water in the bathtub to shave my legs and it was yellow. When we asked for a channel list for the TV, the front desk attendant told us to "just Google it." Breakfast was ok. Parking was decent. Free wifi.

Stayed while stopping to thru to hear a little blues! Front desk lady was so polite, friendly, and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Could a use a little updating, but that was certainly not a deal breaker. Smelled clean!! Would definitely stay again!!
