Good value for money

We learned our lesson about staying in poorly equipped "4 star" rooms in midtown Manhattan and decided to stay at comfort inn instead.
Firstly the subway is right around the corner so you can get into Manhattan in no time at all.
This place is nice. Well taken care of and managed. There is a place for breakfast.
Rooms have an iron, and in room safe.
A little disappointed there were no microwaves.
Coffee maker is in the room.
The train passes nearby so it can be a bit noisy in the morning.
They were nice enough to accommodate a late checkout for us and store our bags for free for the rest of the day till we had to leave for our flight.
They had a coffee and juice dispenser in the breakfast area but closes when breakfast time is over. It was a little disappointing. They could have at least kept the coffee maker on all day.
Would definitely recommend this place and stay here again. Good value!

Close to 2 metro stations and 3 stops away from downtown Manhattan

Check in was smooth, do not put your expectations high, it is a simple Hotel, affordable with ok breakfast, to me the most important part is clean room and proximity to downtown and both were 5 stars. I found a parking spot on the street for free left my car for 4 days no problem. One elevator with some malfunction happened while we are there but the stairs were there when there is a delay,I would book this place again for my next visit to NY.

New York is an expensive city

NYC is expensive. We all know that and it is very difficult to find a good combination between price, quality and location. The hotel is in Queens, next to a Subway station and just 10 min away from Central park, which is a very good location. The hotel was nothing special. A small room, without any views and not spectacularly cleaned (we found a couple of bugs on the floor), but good enough if you want just to rest after a tiring day visiting NYC. The breakfast buffet was quite good and consisted of juices, coffees, teas, waffles, fruit, joghurts and excellent pastries, for me the best of the hotel.

Practically Near The Public Commute

Staff are helpful, quiet and nice location. Very near the subway. I just had once not so cool incident during the breakfast, the person looking to it was so busy on the phone and forgot to refill some of the food item. We just don't want to disturb and kinda shy to ask, since we presume it should have been an automatic thing. Especially when they could have been that attentive to the responsibility. Its not a biggie though. Will definitely come back if we are touring, but not probably on business since we value time of the esence.

Good Location & Price

The hotel is clean (though the rooms are small) and the location/price are hard to beat for New York City. The subway is a block away with Times Square about 5 stops away where transfers can be easily made for Central Park (Uptown) or the Stanten Island Ferry (down).

Breakfast is included with the accommodations (scrambled eggs, waffles, oatmeal, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and pastries) although the breakfast area is small with only 3-4 tables. If all the tables are taken you'll need to eat in your room.

The hotel gym is the typical small room with limited exercise equipment. The YMCA is about 15-20 minute walk. The young man at the counter gave us a day guest pass on the first visit and quoted $25/day there after.

There is a great market (Food Cellar Market) 2 blocks away with all the usual grocery store items plus an excellent salad bar and deli. I loadied up on a great salad diner one evening, and a chipolte bowl for the second evening. The market also has beer - but no wine or spirits. A wine and spirit door is 2 doors away from the hotel should you want to bring something back to your room for the take home dinner.

The staff at the hotel were very nice and responsive to our questions.
