Worst Room (Avoid 110)

Comfort inn is nice, standard Comfort Inn. Breakfast was decent, same as most Comfort Inns. Might get another star, however, on what appeared to be a non-busy night, we were assigned room 110. I had a bad feeling as the room is very close to the lobby, but it was late and had to get back on the road early in the morning. No need for an alarm or wake up call, as the room must share a wall with the kitchen. At about 4:30AM loud banging and clanking started and that was the end of sleep.

Very Nicly Equiped, Clean Room!

The room was vary well equipped with a nice king size bed, chair with ottoman, refrigerator and micro-wave. The bathroom very clean and equipped with all of the necessities. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and I will most certainly be staying there again in the future.

Stayed here on a Saturday. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was very nice. I would definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

Unexpected Stay

My car had broken down for a couple days while I was in town visiting relatives. So naturally I came to the Comfort Inn. The staff was great as always. My room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast attendant went out of her way to make myself and everyone else feel very welcome in the morning. The 2 ladies at the front desk, Darcy and Dannielle I believe, even went out of their way to call a couple taxi companies so I could get to my car. As always, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay with a friendly staff.

No Respect for the Customer

We had pre-payed for the first three nights and had a reservation for those nights. We had one free night, the fourth night, and had a separate reservation for that night. When we checked in on the first reservation the hotel manager noticed we had another reservation so she checked us in and ensured us that we would stay in the same room. She gave us our room key and said she had it programmed for the entire stay. When we arrived back to the hotel on the evening of our fourth night we found our room had not been cleaned. I immediately went to the front desk to complain about the condition of our room. The desk clerk said it was my fault because I had not checked out that morning and then checked back in. I tried to explain to her that we did all of this when we arrived. She kept insisting there was nothing she could do because it was my fault and not theirs. I became upset, when back to our room and packed and we left the hotel without spending any time in the room. My wife and I have family in Marshalltown and have stayed at the Comfort Inn many times but we will no longer stay there.
