Business Trip
Daniel Hon 19/05/2017 13:07The room was very clean and quiet, it was on the first floor which I usually do not prefer but it was no issue. I had complete privacy and no distractions from people on the upper floors. Breakfast was good and hot. Staff was very friendly, had a very nice chat with the gentleman during check in.
Much better than some reviews
MFD812on 01/05/2017 00:46I guess it helps when your expectations are low. Friends had stayed here in years past and did not have much good to say, and the reviews seem to be overly harsh, but they now say that it has improved a great deal. This appears to be a family run operation and the management has has been great, always willing to go the extra mile for the customers. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Nice tv's with Directv. I believe all the rooms have small refrigerators and microwaves, which were a big help. Breakfast was limited, but decent. Seems to be the same thing every day, so a little variety would be nice if you're staying morethan one night. Wifi seems to work well. A couple restaurants in walking distance but I can only recommend the Mexican place. I would say this place is great for a short term stay, and is fairly reasonably priced for what you get.
WARNING: DO NOT STAY IF YOU ARE A CORPORATE TRAVELER!!
Esmeralda Von 08/04/2017 19:40I booked my stay for this hotel through my company. Our company uses a corporate travel service to negotiate rates and coordinate travel and expenses. Long story short, when I stayed there they REFUSED to give me a receipt, a folio, a room rate summary or ANYTHING to prove that I stayed there. They said that unless I booked directly through them, they cannot provide anything! As you can imagine this will now become a nightmare for me to get reimbursed for my stay through work. Warning to anybody staying at this hotel for business, DON'T!!!
Better than i expected
supra606on 20/10/2016 14:12Everything in Indy was booked for some reason and I had to come this far to find something. But this place wasn't bad. My room was clean, decent sized, and had nice, high ceilings. The furniture was a little old and they had DirecTV (and of course it was raining out so it barely worked) but those are pretty minor issues. The breakfast was average. The pool was comically small. I have literally seen bigger hot tubs. I didn't even see a fitness room. But I didn't expect much being this far out in the middle of nowhere and overall, I was somewhat pleasantly surprised.
eh, it is a place to sleep if you are working a few weeks at the county hospital
pharmacy ion 07/09/2016 00:31First impression was the staircase that looked to be taken from a 100 year old building. There is no elevator. I inspected closely for needles and bedbugs when the hospital staff alerted me of the hotel's past before I even got there. It was clean, though smelled a bit like an old ashtray with perfume on top. Nights were quiet. The first morning I was immediately annoyed by the clerk yelling "NONONONO you do not take da plate to da room. You eat down here" when I tried to take a plate with an egg and a muffin back to my room. The food was the same every morning. Synthetic tiny fried egg things, sausage that had tiny bits of bone in it, tater tot things, and perpetual crock pot o gravy. There were a few things off to the side like cereal and a couple plastic wrapped generic muffins.
I was either gone working or getting ready for bed and sleeping for a couple weeks there. It was adequate. They didn't read me the riot act for keeping food in the fridge and eating in the room at night. Ha
Doors broken here and there, but not room doors. Shady looking people in cars or hanging around the parking lot a few times so I parked in front of my room and kept the blinds open.
Midway through my stay a colleague checked out and they absolutely refused to give a printed receipt so he could get reimbursed by our company. He argued with the guys behind the desk for several minutes while I stood there watching and they stood firm they will not give a receipt on a printed sheet itemized. NONONONO. I said "man I never have seen a place refuse to give a printed receipt to people who obviously have been shipped in by the company." Maybe because I stayed a few weeks or maybe because a local gal checked me out she asked if I needed a receipt immediately and I got one.
The microwave and fridge in the room functioned. They had hot water. Wireless did function. Guess I expected a bit more at $100-120 per night.
I would recommend what the locals say "Stay in Seymour"
