The bed was very comfortable after a exhausting day, the shower was hot , and the aircon was cold, rooms were clean, great at short notice ,, thankyou scottys , i will return

New Years Eve had been booked on arrival from Mt Gambier to the reception desk the lady said she had to explain that the carpets had been spot cleaned due to the last family that had used the room and it may smell of antiseptic (alarm bells). The carpets needed to be professionally cleaned. I said ok as there was no vacancy's anywhere else in town for the five of us (three kids under 10) so my hands were tied.
When entered the room the carpets were wet and the place smelt putrid of antiseptic and old smoke. Upon placing my bag on the double bed I found in the other room beside the bed about a dozen feces stains where it looked like someone had smashed a babies nappy over the carpet. How the the house maids made the bed and didn't see or smell this still amazes me.
The receptionist couldn't believe it even though she was the one that originally cleaned the mess in the other room and explained that it needed a professional clean. She said that the manager would clean it personally by the time we returned from the cricket. Having no choice we slept the night fully clothed and left ASAP in the morning. No one was in reception when we left as they probably seen me coming. I have reported them to the Comfort Inn Chain as they obviously were on the New Years Eve money grab because they knew every thing in town was booked out. No refunds offered but I wasn't expecting it out of this disgusting dump!
Stay away from here bad reviews mean it is a dump and i'm sure managements reply will be all my fault. But who lets a room out with feces on the floor to a family of 5. Reply will be fascinating !! I feel sick rewriting this but you all need to know this joint should be condemned and the managers run out of town.

JHC995on 27/11/2016 23:28I booked Scotty's in early October for our visit but upon arriving found there was no reservation. To be fair they found us a room but the room had bugs in it, no vessels for water or tea/coffee but an abundance of soap sachet's! with no other options we stayed in it. Over the next 2 days a number of other examples could be seen (no numbers on rooms, obscene graffiti on a deserted building next door but in full view, clocks that don't work) etc. It was priced reasonably. be aware. It is walking distance to North Adelaide and the Adelaide Oval.

For my needs, somewhere at short notice and with a limited budget, it was perfect.
The shower was powerful and piping hot, the linen spotless and my room felt like an oasis.The staff were helpful and kind.

Our room emitted an aura of nostalgia which left us feeling an inner warmth.
The bed was deliciously comfortable and where ever one cast one's eye, there was great attention to detail.
