Convenient location, great for a short stay

Arrived at this motel after a weary drive up from Melbourne. The location was great for us as a relative lived not 5 mins away whom we were meeting. I would have to say this motel was very organised and communicated via both email and also called to confirm the booking and arrival time so I was very happy with the service. We stayed for 1 night, at first I was concerned that the motel room was so close to the main road (Victoria Rd) however it is quiet in the room and we were not disturbed by traffic. The room itself was clean, bed was comfortable and shower felt great after a long journey. Overall we had a good experience and will use this motel again in the future essentially for its location.

Decent Place To Stay - Not Exceptional, But Good

I hadn't stayed here in years, but on my most recent return to Sydney, I opted to return for a quick, overnight stay using my Choice Privileges reward points. The motel was perfectly adequate in all respects - not exceptional, but just fine.

Check-in was handled by a pleasant and helpful person. Room was comfortable, clean, up to date, and adequately furnished, with parking conveniently located nearby. The placement of the desk in the room seemed a bit odd, as there was another area in the room where it appeared that the desk actually belonged, as there were outlets midway up the wall that would have been placed there for a desk, but the desk was elsewhere instead. But that wasn't an issue - just an observation. Bed was comfortable, and the wall mounted climate control unit worked just fine.

Bathroom was spotless, and the shower delivered an ample stream of hot water.

There is a lot of traffic on Victoria Rd, but I did not find it bothersome.

Various fast food and other dining options are located a short drive away. Drive time to/from the Sydney airport is about 40 minutes without traffic; can be an hour or more during peak travel times. Access to the Pacific Highway is about 20 minutes away in avarage traffic northbound via Lane Cove Road. The Ryde train station is a short drive away.

One helpful tip - the motel is located on Victoria Road and is only accessible from the westbound traffic side. It is easy - but tricky - to get to the eastbound side of Victoria Road when exiting the motel. When exiting, turn left (westbound) on Victoria Road, then take the first left and then immediately turn right into a narrow alleyway - follow the alley to the end, turn right, and you'll be at a stoplight where you can then easily turn right (eastbound) on Victoria Road. I needed my GPS to help me figure this out, but it's a very helpful tip and makes heading eastbound, towards the city, a LOT easier than trying to figure it out on my own.

Overall, a decent stay.

Last stayed here August 2016 hasnt changed, if not for Bek & Deb I probably wouldnt stay

Biggest improvement I have noticed this stay is at least the foreign cleaning staff dont run away when you talk to them and they speak English!
I still dont think they clean very well though, standard is still low in this regard.
Maria managed to tidy the motel up, it does look better but rooms are dated, not large by any means and a tad untidy and worn.
Also I noticed a lot more road noise being on a major road than ever before.
Dont get me wrong, staff were friendly and reliable.
Deb, the chef is wonderful, my wife & I ate there every night and her food is still great.
Bek is working behind front desk as well and she is a treasure.
I will stay here again next trip though.

Near the road but quiet.

Our room on the ground floor was quite nice with a lovely, comfy bed, tv, desk and chair, air conditioner, chairs and table, sofa, shower and toilet, small fridge and tea/coffee, milk, jug etc. We headed to the restaurant for breakfast the next morning only to find that it was shut due to a function so we ordered room service at no extra cost. It all worked out well.

Great value for money. Clean with fresh new linen. Well sited with every room having a view of the golf course. Very helpful staff, when we asked to have the foldout bed made up they did it instantly and also waived the charge.
