What People are saying

Ask if they've rented out the banquet hall first before getting a room...

Tom Ron 24/08/2017 18:04

Holy hell... First off I've stayed here in the past and had a lovely visit, so upon booking a room here again I wasn't too worried. I even talked my dad and his wife into booking a room at the hotel.

That was until I checked in and found out that there was a Class of '82 reunion. At first I wasn't too concerned until I went up to my room on the third floor and right at 8pm the loud music started, and the dancing started. It sounded like a ZOO. Turns out the banquet hall was up on the fourth floor. After an hour of the room sounding as if it would collapse I went down to the front desk to request a new room. I was told that that would not be possible as all the rooms were booked for the event, but they would ask to keep the noise down and that the event would end at 11pm. Well the event did end at 11PM but it was a long night none the less. Fast forward to the next morning when I discovered that my dads wife actually went down stairs complained like I did and then even went out to their car and slept in there for a few hours! Holy hell, and to make matters worse I also found out that everyone who was attending the event had rooms on the lower levels... WHY WOULD ANYONE PUT ANYONE into rooms that they knew would be loud and noisy, they could have put the people attending the event in those top rooms so that the noise wouldn't have bothered anyone.

Upon checking out I voiced my displeasure in the night, they must have gotten this all morning because the girl up front didn't seem interested in making anything right. The manager was in his office off the side, I knew he could hear me and made no move to right the situation. I was just dissatisfied with the whole thing, as a rewards member to I just felt like they would have tried harder.

When I got back home, I was talking to my father and found that they did actually get their room refunded in full. So... that was great... None members got their money back, yet a member for years gets a "Have a nice day..."

Nice one night stay.

Good location, very nice size room but the price was way too high. No pool. Hard to control the temperature in the room because you didn't have any options. Typical hot breakfast. Good laundry facility even one of the two washing machines didn't work.
Numbering system for their rooms is a little strange and confusing.

Nice stay.

Big room, Keurig coffee maker. Very comfortable room. A little out of the way, but only 10 minutes to downtown. We got a very reasonable price. Comfortable bed. Overall, quiet, and a nice stay. Breakfast is typical, cereal, eggs, ham, waffles, bagels. Coffee available at all times. Room was clean and comfortable.

Comfort Suites and Comfort Inn & Suites - 2 differnt hotels

June61992on 30/07/2017 14:41

As the title says, "2 different hotels" because they are both in South Burlington and the Inn & Suites were right off the I-89. We went there when we were actually booked into the Comfort Suites - a bit further in off the highway.
Anyways, when we got to the "Comfort Suites" we were informed that we were upgraded to a King suite with a pull-out sofa. Anytime you hear "upgraded" you immediately think you hit the jackpot. Not in this case.
The suite was nice with a kitchenette and a nice bathroom with 2 entrances. The king bed was very comfortable. The pull-out sofa that my daughter had to sleep on might have been the worst. When you pull it out you immediately see water stains. The sound everytime you move sounds much like crumpling a plastic bag.
Breakfast was basic but the breakfast manager has quite a bit to learn about how to act in front of customers. Apparently he was just back from 2 days off and everybody there was well aware that he was as he was walking around mumbling "I will never take 2 days off again." He then proceeded to call one of their suppliers to inform them that "they" sent the wrong cups. All of this should be done away from customers. As it turns out, this was the last thing we remember about this hotel.
I gave this hotel an average rating. If not for the pull-out sofa and breakfast manager it would be excellent.

Large room, very clean

We have stayed at almost every hotel in Burlington as we come often as my brother attends UVM, and this one we had never seen before. We're glad we did! The room was clean, the bed and sofa bed were comfortable. The rollaway bed was borderline unusable, and should be replaced. Overall, very great stay!
