Kathleen Kon 27/08/2017 15:23Thanks to Dominic for getting us adjoining rooms and towels for the pool! The next morning Abed helped us by extending our check out. The pool was warm but it does echo a bit when the kids are having fun. The breakfast was good- eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit and yogurt. We'd stay here again.

It's easy for people to make your stay nice when everything is perfect, but it's even more special when someone takes the time to go the extra mile and fix the little things when they go wrong
Front Desk Staff Were a Huge Help
Lorilee Con 30/07/2017 21:35After a truly disillusioning experience at another hotel, my friend and I booked a room via Orbitz at the Comfort Suites for the night (we had left the first hotel with the certainty we would never stay there). Unfortunately, though we had booked for the Tuesday night, Orbitz had us booked in for Sunday, five nights away. Cameron, the manager, was patient in explaining to us that because of Orbitz's mistake, we would not be able to get the rate we were quoted and that sadly they had only two rooms available at a much higher rate. We were seeing a show that night at the nearby DTE Musical Energy Theater, and we were running out of options to stay for the night. We also wanted to get in somewhere to get ready for the show. Dominic and Cameron were a great help to us, even though we were very frustrated by then. "Let me see what I can do for you," he said, offering to call the nearby Red Roof Inn to see if they had availability. He told us the rate, which was acceptable, and booked us in over the phone without a credit card (a relief because by now we were looking at refunds from two different hotels/booking services. We did not want to have to get a refund from a third, should that one not work out either.) Dominic and Cameron went above and beyond and literally found us a hotel to stay at, not theirs! Great work, guys. And thanks again!
Exceptional Customer Service from Austin
Lesa Don 26/07/2017 17:47Second time staying at this location. Perfect location to The Palace. Very clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Breakfast had a good variety. Austin at front desk was especially helpful and friendly.

upnorth98on 25/07/2017 03:17The rate got me to stay here for the first time. Normally we stay at the Quality Inn just down the road for our Palace concerts, but the rate was better this time around.
We were greeted in the most welcoming manner by Austin. He was awesome. Friendly, efficient, and a great conversationalist. He is able to work while talking, so we were able to get checked in quickly. We chose to stay a few moments longer (no one else was in line) just to continue our conversation.
We took the stairs to our third floor room and the common area was in a good condition. First impression of the room was that it smelled clean, it was of a good size, but just a little warm. We turned on the air and things cooled down nicely.
We went to the event and returned about 11:30pm. Sat in bed using the WiFi which was of a decent speed for average browsing.
My only complaint was that the beds felt they were made short. We had to scooch down the bed to get fully covered upon sleep.
In the morning all four of us were able to take hot showers. It is nice having the sink outside of the toilet/shower room, but I wish there was something I could have set my clean clothes or bathroom bag on inside the toilet/shower room.
Breakfast was adequate. Hot food included eggs, sausage, and waffles. Sausage did run out while we were there, but the breakfast attendant said it was coming. Lemonade was a nice change of pace in the juice dispenser.
Check-out was uneventful. I would not hesitate staying here again.
