Would not stay here .. Consumer Beware

" Comfort " being in the title we wrongly assumed our comfort would be important to the front line ambassadors of this brand , however we were questioned upon entering and told we were not even allowed to use the lavatory . As our basic human needs were already being denied we quickly departed . We do not look like hoodlums just a middle age couple driving a $60k car . Not welcoming and therefore lost us as potential guests for this and other Comfort Suites.
Nice Hotel, Hard beds
BlueWampuson 16/06/2017 00:10Everything about this hotel was great except the beds. The desk and especially the breakfast staff went out of there way to make our stay enjoyable. The only "gripe" I had was the bed was very hard. The box platform was all the bed height. The mattress was only about 8 inches and there was no "pillow top", just a 3/4 inch bed pad for padding on top of a hard mattress. If you like a really firm mattress you can't go wrong. There was also somebody in the room above us who took great delight in doing jumping jacks or something until midnight.
There was one thing not related to this hotel but with the reservations. I made 1 reservation and the company system turned it into 2 reservations. If we had not arrived before 6pm we would have been charges for both rooms. I only have 1 reservation confirmation email on my computer, not 2. So there was a problem at their end.
Another great visit
RandyWRon 11/06/2017 20:52We stayed here this time last year and it still ranks right up there. The breakfast staff are definitely on point and go out of their way to meet your needs. If I have a gripe they need more luggage carts and we couldn't get the blackout curtains configured to keep out the lite from the parking lot security lights.
Getaway from the city.
sbmorris89on 11/06/2017 13:34We had no problems at all with this hotel stay. It was very convenient to St. Simon's Island and Jekyll Island (about 15-20 min). I was delighted that they had Greek yogurt & granola (my favorite healthy breakfast item) instead of just plain Yoplait blueberry or something. The lady in charge of the breakfast area seemed to love what she was doing. She acted like she was at home cooking for her family. I've worked at a hotel before and witnessed a few employees who were in charge of the breakfast area, and she was clearly doing above & beyond. It was a refreshing scene every morning I went to eat breakfast because of that lady's kind spirit.
We would definitely stay here again when we want to get away from Atlanta. The convenience of being close to our beach destination and the quietness of the hotel were everything we wanted.
