What People are saying

Awesome stay with great value!

We had an awesome stay with great value! This place is incredibly clean and looks like it has recently remodeled the rooms. There are some renovations going on, but what an awesome place! Felt like a stay at the most expensive hotels with an impressive price!

Highly recommended!

Visited family on our way home from a fishing trip. Upon check in our room was upgraded to a spacious jacuzzi suite for AARP members. New furnishings. Super clean! They froze our fish in their restaurant freezer until checkout. Above and beyond service!

Would definitely recommend!

Check-In: We traveled with another couple and their teenage daughter to meet up with friends from Wisconsin. I made a reservation for 2 rooms with one under the name of the out-of-state friends. We all were able to easily check in without any issues at all. Bonus: our rooms were side by side (124 & 126). The lobby was clean, beautifully decorated and had a marketplace for buying snacks, getting coffee, etc.

Rooms: Even though the hotel is undergoing a renovation, disruptions and noise were minimal. Only one issue occurred that prevented a full 5-star rating (more details on that later). Our room (124) was very nice. A TV was in the bedroom area and another in the sitting area. The bathroom was roomy, modern and very clean (as was the rest of the room). There was a bench just inside the door with two drawers that was very handy for storing items and sitting on for putting on shoes. We had a nice view of a little pond outside our window.

Food: The hotel is conveniently attached to the Peaches Steakhouse which had good Trip Advisor reviews. We had a few drinks in the bar there and it was nice and very affordable. Not busy on a Saturday night. Because of the hotel renovations, the complimentary breakfast was served in the restaurant. This is where the only negative part of our visit occurred. Breakfast for hotel guests on the weekend is served from 6:30 to 9:30 am. Then they switch over to the paid restaurant brunch at 10:00. We went for the free breakfast around 8:30, ate and since we were visiting with friends from out of state, we found it very comfortable for sitting and visiting. At 9:55 we were told we needed to leave because they would be opening for public dining. As hotel guests who had already eaten, we were disappointed to be "kicked out" before we were done visiting. There was no one from the public waiting to come in. If there had been a large number of people needing to be seated we could certainly understand the request, but to be asked to leave when absolutely no one was in the lobby waiting for the buffet was ridiculous! The complimentary breakfast was decent. They need more than one waffle machine. There was a woman there with several children and I thought she was going to pee on the waffle maker to mark her territory so she could make waffles for every single person in her group. Enjoyed the fresh fruit selection, but wish there had been peanut butter to put on toast.

Overall: Beautiful hotel in a peaceful setting, good service, good rates. Hopefully after the renovations are complete the breakfast issues will be resolved so guests don't feel like second class citizens after breakfast hours end.

The property was showing its age and was undergoing renovations. Cleanliness was good. The room was clean and the linens were fresh and not threadbare. Price was high for the condition of the property.
